Publication number: 20250103404Abstract: An approach for managing log messages. In this approach, a hierarchical structure identifies primary and secondary relationships between the log messages. In this approach, primary log messages in the log messages that has one or more secondary log messages is identified using the hierarchical structure. One or more pointers are added to each primary log message in the log messages having the one or more secondary log messages. Each pointer points to a secondary log message in the hierarchical structure. The one or more secondary log messages are removed from the log messages to form remaining log messages. Header information from log message headers and content information from log message content in the remaining log messages are saved to form compressed log information.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2023Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Xizhuo Zhang, Hui Wang, Zhao Yu Wang, Jing Ren, Jing Wen Chen, Yi Jie Ma

Patent number: 12236983Abstract: Various systems and methods are presented regarding interrupting a write operation to enable a read operation to be performed on a digital tape system. An initial write operation to the tape can be paused, a read operation performed on a previously written data file conducted, and upon completion of the read operation, the write operation can be recommenced. Interrupt points can be positioned within respective data blocks. Based upon knowledge of the amount of data written during the initial write operation, a position P can be determined (relative to the location of the nearest prior interrupt point) such that when the tape is advanced to place the tape head in a position to recommence the write operation after the read operation has been performed, the tape can be positioned such that the tape head is at position P. Accordingly, interruption of the write operation enables random access of the tape.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2023Date of Patent: February 25, 2025Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Xizhuo Zhang, Jing Ren, Zhao Yu Wang, Yi Jie Ma, Jing Wen Chen

Patent number: 12229219Abstract: Aspects of the invention include generating a plurality of predictions that each define a plurality of future inputs for a model. A deviation curve is generated by determining a distance between each prediction of the plurality of predictions and a respective known data point of a plurality of known data points. One or more points in the deviation curve are sampled and the sampled points are compared to a low threshold and a high threshold. A judgement is determined for each prediction to determine whether the respective prediction will be accepted or denied as an input to the model. The future inputs for the model are modified based on the judgments.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2021Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Hui Wang, Zhao Yu Wang, Jing Wen Chen, Wei Song, Li Cao, Wan Yue Chen, Wen Zhong Liu

Publication number: 20240407505Abstract: A detachable device includes a base, an object, and a latching structure. The object is detachably disposed over the base and has a fastening part. The latching structure is for detachably connecting the base and the object and includes a main body disposed on the base with a distance from the base. The main body includes a buckle part and a release part. The buckle part is for detachably buckling with the fastening part of the object. The release part is connected to the buckle part and is arranged on a side of the buckle part away from the fastening part. When being pushed by an external force, the release part drives the buckle part away from the fastening part, and the object is detached from the base.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2024Publication date: December 12, 2024Inventors: Jing Wen CHEN, Chien Hung LEE, Chang Yu HUANG, Yong Jyun LU, Ying Chih LIU

Patent number: 11842038Abstract: A method for sharing hidden information in a virtual meeting is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes sharing, by way of a web-conference server, a source window presented on a source system with a target window presented on a target system. The method detects selection of a specific area on the target window and correlates the specific area on the target window with a corresponding area on the source window. The method determines whether the corresponding area on the source window links to hidden information, such as a hyperlink, on the source window. If the corresponding area links to hidden information, the method communicates one or more of the hidden information and a link to the hidden information to the target system. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2022Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Jing Wen Chen, Zhao Yu Wang, Peng Hui Jiang, Xiao Yi Tian, Jing Ren, Yi Jie Ma, Xizhuo Zhang, Jing Zhang

Patent number: 8631717Abstract: One aspect of the instant disclosure is to provide a sensorless adaptive safety actuator. The safety actuator comprises a driving unit, a transmission unit coupled to the driving unit, and an output unit coupled to the transmission unit. The transmission unit comprises a load-adaptable retracting mechanism. When the output unit experiences a mechanical load exceeding a critical value, the load-adaptable retracting mechanism causes the transmission unit to decouple from the driving unit. Thus, responding to an accident where the impact on the output unit causes a force/torque overload, the instant safety actuator is capable of effectively stopping the force/torque transmission to the work output device without the use of active sensors.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2011Date of Patent: January 21, 2014Assignee: National Taiwan UniversityInventors: Ren C.
