    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Wireless devices may use enhanced carrier aggregation (eCA) to increase the throughput of a communications link, and control schemes for reducing signaling overhead may be employed to support eCA operation. For instance, downlink control information (DCI) supporting resource grants on a plurality of component carriers (CC) may be provided. These joint grants of resources may be used in addition to individual resource grants. A resource allocation granularity associated with the joint grant of resources may be based on the number of CCs scheduled by a resource grant message. The resource allocation granularity may be a function of whether uplink or downlink CCs are scheduled, and it may be determined based on a location of or channel associated with the resource grant message. A receiving device may identify allocated resources based on the scheduled CCs and resource allocation granularity.

    Abstract: An experimental setup for bridge deck large-amplitude vertical-torsional coupled free vibration in wind tunnel test, which belongs to the technical field of wind tunnel test apparatus. The experimental setup includes the rigid model, the rigid circular rods, the lightweight rigid circular sprockets, the chains, the linear tensile vertical springs, the bearings, the sliders, and the guides. For the new setup, large-amplitude vertical-torsional coupled free vibration of a rigid deck model that failed in conventional testing device can be adapted by the vertical deformation of the springs without any lateral tilt. As a result, the possible nonlinear mechanical stiffness due to the springs tilt in conventional testing device is excluded. In addition, owing to the low rolling friction and damping between the sprockets and the chains, the mechanical damping ratio of the system are quite low and stable for very large-amplitude vibrations.

A transmitting device may encode a payload based on a selected payload size. For example, the transmitting device may construct a bit vector including payload bits, parity bits, frozen bits, or some combination of in these, and may modify the bits or the order of the bits based on the selected payload size. The device may generate a polar-encoded codeword based on this bit vector, and may transmit the polar-encoded codeword to a receiving device. The receiving device may blind decode the polar-encoded codeword, and may determine the correct payload size based on the decoded bit vector. For example, the device may perform decoding or may check decoded bits based on a payload size hypothesis, where the decoding may fail for any incorrect payload size hypothesis.
