  • Publication number: 20260211168
Abstract: Forming a wavefront corrected optical system includes: forming a phase adjusting layer onto a portion of an optical aperture of an optical device, the forming comprising: forming a first material that is at least partially optically transparent onto the portion of the optical aperture, determining at least one wavefront characteristic of an optical wave emitted from the optical aperture, and modifying a phase shifting pattern over a first volume of the first material based at least in part on the at least one wavefront characteristic; and forming an index-mismatched layer onto at least a portion of the phase adjusting layer. A refractive index of the index-mismatched layer is different from a refractive index of the first material. A first surface of the index-mismatched layer conforms to a surface of the phase adjusting layer. A second surface of the index-mismatched layer preserves a phase correction associated with the phase adjusting layer.

  • Publication number: 20240160945
Abstract: A method of training a deep reinforcement learning model for autonomous control of a machine, such as autonomous vehicles, the model being configured to output, by a policy network, an agent action in response to input of state information and a value function, the agent action representing a control signal for the machine. The method comprises minimizing a loss function of the policy network; wherein the loss function of the policy network comprises an autonomous guidance component and a human guidance component (human intervention); and wherein the autonomous guidance component is zero when the state information is indicative of a human input signal.

  • Patent number: 11783218
Abstract: An apparatus for facilitating electromagnetic wave resonator tuning is disclosed, including first, second, and third spaced apart resonator portions, the second portion disposed between the first and third to form an electromagnetic wave resonator having a resonant frequency, wherein the first and second portions define a first volume therebetween and the second and third define a second volume therebetween, a first actuator coupled to the first portion, the second, or both, the first actuator configured to adjust a width of the first volume, and a second actuator coupled to the second portion, the third, or both, the second actuator configured to adjust a width of the second volume, wherein the actuators are configured to decrease the widths of the first and second volumes or increase the widths of the first and second volumes to adjust the resonant frequency of the resonator. Other apparatuses, methods, and systems are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230042201
Abstract: An architecture for fault-tolerant universal quantum computation is suited for matter qubits, such as donor qubits in silicon, coupled by a network of photonic interconnects. The basic operational building blocks are local measurements and unitaries, plus an entangling measurement of non-local Pauli operators. 3D graph states created by applying deterministic entangling measurements to pairs of qubits in knitting and fusion processes to yield resource states for one way computing. The deterministic entangling measurements are facilitated by configuring the network with active switches to allow single photons to interact with pairs of matter qubits.
