Abstract: A wireless master device to remotely perform network speed tests on a wireless client device that is not in the possession of the user. A user interface (UI) is provided that displays a list of client devices that may be selected to be the wireless master device and a list of client devices that may be selected to perform the speed test. A start instruction is wirelessly sent to start the speed test on the selected client device. Network speed test results of the client device are received by the wireless master device and presented in the UI. The UI presents options for selecting a type of speed test to perform. The UI includes an area where messages and the test results are presented.

One example method includes receiving, from a client device, an on-change request to change an editable leading field from a first editable leading field value to a second editable leading field value. The editable leading field is referenced in an on-change rule. The on-change request includes a first security key and the client device is not allowed to modify the read-only target field. The on-change rule is executed to change the read-only target field from a first read-only target field value to a second read-only target field value based on the second editable leading field value. A second security key is generated based on at least the second read-only target field value and provided to the client device in response to the on-change request.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate the output of communications to additional emergency contacts upon the occurrence of an alarm triggering event. A central device may be configured with one or more data profiles associated with one or more emergency contacts, and each data profile may include emergency contact information associated with one or more methods for communicating a message to each respective emergency contact. When the device identifies an alert trigger within one or more communications passing through the device, the device may output one or more emergency messages to one or more of the emergency contacts according to the one or more stored data profiles.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a memory having stored therein: software, a configuration file, and a table associating reference Wi-Fi country codes with graphical user interface (GUI) languages; and a processor configured to run the software to cause the electronic device to execute at least the following: read a current Wi-Fi country code of the electronic device from the configuration file; obtain, from the table, the GUI language which is associated with the reference Wi-Fi country code corresponding to the current Wi-Fi country code of the electronic device; and modify the configuration file stored in the memory so as to automatically select a language setting for a GUI of the electronic device based on the GUI language obtained from the table.
