    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a decorated semi-rigid plastic article, carton, package, or box, including: defining a select region of a semi-rigid plastic film or sheet according to a design requirement; applying a clear, colored, or highly reflective coating onto the select region, positioning said coating relative to an embossing form, said embossing form containing at least one Optical Element, bringing the embossing form and coating into intimate contact, hardening, drying, or curing the coating such that it permanently adopts the mirror image of at least one Optical Element, and separating the coating from the embossing form such that the semi-rigid plastic film or sheet contains a selectively applied Optical Element. The above method of manufacturing the semi-rigid plastic article has simple steps, simple operation and low cost. A semi-rigid plastic packing box manufactured by the above method containing both see through transparent regions and select Optical Elements is also provided.

    Abstract: A method of producing a flexible plastic packaging box comprises forming a lid and a box body. The lid includes a lid body having a periphery and an annular ring surrounding the periphery and defining a latching groove. The box body includes a tube having two openings and a round bottom having a periphery. The opening at one end of the tube is connected to the periphery of the bottom, and the opening at the other end of the tube has a rim surrounded by an outer flange. The outer flange is detachably engageable by the latching groove such that the lid is detachably attached to the box body and seals the opening of the box body. At least one of the lid body or the round bottom is formed separately from the respective annular ring or tube and fixed to the respective annular ring or tube after forming.

    Abstract: A flexible plastic packaging box includes a lid and a box body having an opening at one end. The lid includes a lid body and an annular ring surrounding a periphery of the lid body. The box body is provided with an outer flange at a rim thereof adjacent to the opening surrounding an outer wall of the box body. The annular ring may be engaged with the outer flange such that the lid is detachably attached to the box body and seals the opening of the box body. The annular ring surrounding the periphery of the lid body forms a latching groove surrounding the lid body, the annular ring is capable of engaging the outer flange, and because of the elasticity of the flexible plastic, the lid is more reliably fixed on the box body and seals the opening of the box body.
