Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for downloading documents by using multimedia messaging of a wireless communication device, which employs a personal computer to connect with Internet and to send and receive multimedia messages, wherein the multimedia messages to be sent and received are represented as downloaded documents by using the simultaneous media integration language, and are transmitted to a designated wireless communication device via a network server. The wireless communication device recognizes that the multimedia message being received is a downloaded document and sends out a response to the network server, and then stores or displays the downloaded document.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method of combining and showing short messages sent to or received from a telephone number, which comprises the steps of configuring the cellular phone to sequentially combine a plurality of short messages sent to or received from the telephone number based on time of occurring; storing the combination in a memory of the cellular phone; reading the combination from the memory for reviewing contents of the short messages according to the corresponding telephone number; and showing the contents of the combined short messages on a display of the cellular phone.

Abstract: The invention discloses an Internet phone transmitting signals through a USB interface, which comprises a thin client and a digital phone. The USB interface connects the thin client and the digital phone. The phone communication is achieved through the online function of the thin client. The voice message sending procedure transmits outgoing message signals to the thin client through the USB interface. The thin client converts the outgoing message signals into an outgoing message VOIP package. The outgoing message VOIP package is then transmitted through a network to a target. The voice message receiving procedure transmits an incoming message VOIP package from the target back to the thin client through the network and converts the incoming message VOIP package into incoming message signals. Further through the USB interface, the incoming message signals are transmitted to the digital phone.

Abstract: A method of downloading application programs on the editing system platform of an electronic communication apparatus, includes the step of connecting an electronic communication apparatus to the Internet, the step of driving an editing system of a processor of the electronic communication apparatus to define a total area from a memory thereof for use by the application programs to be downloaded from the Internet, for enabling the application programs to be stored in any address within the total area, the step of driving the editing system to directly correct the operating instruction of direct address searching to the correct address when downloading an application program from the Internet and then to search the address after address correction, and the step of using a software interrupt (SWI) to alternate the operating instruction of indirect address searching so as to obtain the desired correct address for the editing system for further indirect address searching operation.

Abstract: A method for selecting to activate personal digital assistant (PDA) or mobile phone in an electronic device is disclosed. The device is operable to select to activate PDA or mobile phone. When the device is enabled, user can select to activate PDA or mobile phone through a menu. Thus a desired PDA or mobile phone is activated for use after the selection. By utilizing this, user may select to activate PDA or mobile phone in the device, thereby preventing from violating flight safety rules by unintentionally turning on mobile phone while taking an airplane. Further, such option can greatly enhance the adaptability of the electronic device, thus attracting more people to use it.

Abstract: A receiving method comprises storing at least one predetermined keyword in a first electronic device in advance, the keyword being related to one of a plurality of software installed in the first electronic device, appending a keyword in an electronic message sent from a remote second electronic device to the first electronic device, searching the predetermined keyword by a microprocessor of the first electronic device after the electronic message is received for finding a predetermined keyword matched to the keyword contained in the electronic message, finding a software related to the predetermined keyword if there is a matched predetermined keyword, and processing the electronic message by the related software. By utilizing this, user may immediately output the contents of the electronic message from an output device coupled to the electronic device, resulting in a saving of the time to perform a procedure for opening the electronic message.
