  • Patent number: 9001995
Abstract: A telecommunications module (1) comprises at least one pair of contact elements (13, 15) each extending between opposed sides (7, 8) of the module and having contacts (9, 10) at each end to which connections can be made. Each contact element comprises first and second parts (17, 19), the first part being resiliently-biased into engagement with the second part at a disconnection point (21), and a separating member (23) is located between the disconnection points of the pair of contact elements. The separating member (23) is shaped to deflect a probe (29), inserted into the module from one of the opposed sides, towards the disconnection point of a selected one of the pair of contact elements to break the engagement between the first and second parts of that contact element.

  • Patent number: 8063306
Abstract: A re-enterable enclosure for a cable splice includes a first cover member and a second cover member configured for engagement with each other, and movable between an open position and a closed position. The first and second cover members form a cavity for enclosing the cable splice when the cover members are in the closed position. Internal walls in at least one of the first and second cover members are configured to define a sealant containment space that at least partially surrounds the cavity. At least one latch is configured to maintain the first and second cover members in the closed position, the at least one latch configured to exert a compression force along a line extending through the sealant containment space.

  • Publication number: 20110075983
Abstract: An inlet device is described herein for inserting a plurality of telecommunication cables into a telecommunications enclosure. An exemplary inlet device includes a housing, a retention device and a compression member. The housing has a first end and a second end, wherein the housing includes a compressible portion at the second end of the housing and the retention device may be secured to the first end of the housing. The compression member may be fitted over the compressible portion at the second end of the housing and the retention device may be secured to the first end of the housing. The cable retention device includes a rack to discretely hold a plurality of telecommunication cables. The cables may be further secured in the rack of the cable retention device by one or more clamping devices.
