Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure relates to mobile communication technology, and in particular, to a method for uplink transmission and apparatus thereof.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method performed by the terminal in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving downlink signal including at least one of downlink data or downlink control information (DCI), determining an uplink signal to be transmitted based on the downlink signal, determining at least one of a time unit or an uplink physical channel for transmitting the uplink signal, the uplink physical channel including at least one of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and transmitting the uplink signal in the determined at least one of the time unit or the uplink physical channel.
