  • Patent number: 7509121
Abstract: A method of updating firmware using the object push profile in the bluetooth object exchange protocol is proposed. This method first makes use of a bluetooth transmitter to connect a bluetooth electronic device whose firmware is to be updated and a host storing a new program code. Next, the bluetooth transmitter checks parameters in an EEPROM of the bluetooth electronic device to determine whether it is necessary to update the firmware. Through the object push profile (OPP) in the object exchange (OBEX) protocol of the bluetooth technology, this new program code is reprogrammed to a flash memory in the bluetooth electronic device. After the end of the reprogramming action, the bluetooth connection between the bluetooth electronic device and the host is cut off to finish firmware update of the bluetooth electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20080254845
Abstract: An antenna module and a signal-processing module using the antenna module to process a plurality of wireless signals are proposed. The signal-processing module includes the antenna module, a first processing circuit and a second processing circuit. The antenna module includes at least a first antenna, at least a second antenna and a shielding portion. The first antenna is utilized to transmit or receive signals corresponding to a first wireless communication standard, the second antenna is utilized to transmit or receive signals corresponding to a second wireless communication standard, and the shielding portion is disposed between the first antenna and the second antenna. The first processing circuit is coupled to the first antenna for processing signals of the first antenna, and the second processing circuit is coupled to the second antenna for processing signals of the second antenna.

  • Publication number: 20070127606
Abstract: A synchronization method and a detection method capable of resisting noise and waveform distortion in a communication system and a correlator thereof are proposed. In the method, over-sampling is performed to a preamble and a synchronization word in an access code, and a different weighting value is assigned to each sampled point based on its reliability. A correlator is then used to calculate a correlation value. The time instant when this correlation value exceeds an initial threshold is used as the time instant to activate a timer. The time instant when the calculated correlation value is maximal within the time interval from the timer is activated to a predetermined observation time interval is used as the optimum synchronized timing instant to accomplish bit synchronization and frame synchronization at the same time. Moreover, the optimum synchronized timing instant can be used as a reference instant for bit detection to enhance the capability of resisting noise and waveform distortion.

  • Patent number: 7035603
Abstract: A wireless transmitter is proposed. First, a ROM having a lookup table therein is provided. The lookup table is used to store a plurality of IF modulation signals so that a state machine can select a corresponding IF modulation signal from the lookup table of the ROM according to loaded data and output a digital IF modulation signal to a DAC, which then converts the digital IF modulation signal into an analog IF modulation signal to be filtered by a low pass filter. Finally, a local oscillator is utilized to modulate the filtered analog IF modulation signal to an emission frequency, hence obtaining an RF signal. The transmitter makes use of a time-sharing way to use a local oscillator together with the receiver. Complexity of device can thus be simplified to meet the requirement of compactness of wireless products.

  • Patent number: 6933776
Abstract: There is provided a signal demodulating method of a two-phase frequency shift keying (FSK) digital demodulator. The method utilizes at least a detect circuit respectively detecting and collecting a positive edge signal and a negative edge signal of an intermediate frequency signal. Then, two n-bit ripple counters are utilized to refer to a threshold value and then receiving the positive and negative edge signal as a switch signal to reset the threshold value as an initial value of counters so as to start to count and compare to output a positive edge data bit and a negative edge data bit. Last, a hard decision logic circuit is used to perform a frequency-descending decision in accordance with the positive and negative edge data bit so as to send a base frequency signal. The method can decrease the logic gate counts, shorten the signal delay time, and increase the resolution of the demodulation.
