Abstract: An ear muff used with a headset containing two ear muffs. Both of the ear muffs are provided with a loudspeaker and a microphone for sensing ambient noise. An active noise reduction (ANR) circuitry is utilized to cancel the ambient noise. An immobile or inflexible disc is provided within each ear muff for preventing the change of dimensions of an enclosure which includes the loudspeaker and microphone, thereby preventing audio feedback.

Abstract: A headphone provided with an ear cup into which a storage compartment is to be inserted. The storage compartment includes a cavity for the storage of a dongle when the headphone is not in use. Since the purpose of the dongle is to establish a wireless communication between an audio device and the headphones, the dongle is removed from the storage compartment and plugged into the audio device to facilitate the wireless communication. After the wireless communication terminates, the dongle is re-inserted into the storage compartment.

Abstract: A headset containing 2 earphones is described. The headset includes an anti-noise circuit, a radio system circuit, and a sound collection circuit for providing an anti-noise capability. One of the earphones defines a cavity having an external input terminal therein. An output terminal of a conventional MP3 player is coupled to the external input terminal when the player is disposed in the cavity. The output terminal is coupled to the radio system circuit so that music played by the MP3 player can be transmitted to the earphones. A keeper is provided to retain the MP3 player in the cavity.

Abstract: A noise reduction headphone set has been described. The headphone set includes a first circuit system being an anti-noise circuit comprising a microphone for detecting external noise, and means for admitting a wave opposite phase to that of said noise, right and left speakers coupled to said first circuit and variable control means for manually controlling the output of said speakers; an infrared transmitter and a radio circuit system coupled to said transmitter for transmitting an external audio signal switchably coupled to said first circuit whereby signals generated by said first and second circuits cancel external noise, selectively; and power auto/off control circuit coupled to said first and second circuits for shutting down said system in the absence of an audio signal for a predetermined period of time.
