  • Patent number: 11557818
Abstract: A battery pack includes: a battery cell including a terminal surface on which an electrode terminal is located, a bottom surface opposite the terminal surface, and a lateral surface between the terminal surface and the bottom surface; a first tank facing the terminal surface of the battery cell; a second tank extending from the first tank and facing the lateral surface of the battery cell; and a third tank extending from the second tank and facing the bottom surface of the battery cell, and a cavity is defined in the first and second tanks to extend across the first and second tanks, the cavity being filled with a first cooling medium and being fluidically isolated from an outside of the battery pack; and a flow path is defined in the third tank to receive a flow of a second cooling medium which is different from the first cooling medium.

  • Patent number: 9014324
Abstract: Disclosed is a coolant with dispersed neutron poison micro-particles, used in a supercritical water-cooled reactor (SCWR) emergency core cooling system. Since the neutron poison micro-particles are uniformly dispersed in the coolant of the emergency core cooling system for a long period time, their fluidity is not lowered even though the polarity of water is changed in a supercritical state. Therefore, the neutron poison micro-particles absorb neutrons produced from nuclear fission in a nuclear reactor core. Accordingly, the neutron poison micro-particles can be appropriately used as a means for controlling neutrons and stopping a nuclear reactor in the SCWR emergency core cooling system.

  • Publication number: 20140294653
Abstract: The present application discloses a martensitic oxide dispersion-strengthened alloy having enhanced high-temperature strength and creep properties. The alloy includes chromium (Cr) of 8 to 12% by weight, yttria (Y2O3) of 0.1 to 0.5% by weight, carbon (C) of 0.02 to 0.2% by weight, molybdenum (Mo) of 0.2 to 2% by weight, titanium (Ti) of 0.01 to 0.3% by weight, zirconium (Zr) of 0.01 to 0.2% by weight, nickel (Ni) of 0.05 to 0.2% by weight and the balance of iron (Fe). The application also discloses a method of making the alloy.
