  • Publication number: 20180087449
Abstract: An engine exhaust gas circuit includes a primary circuit in fluid communication with an intake of an engine and an outlet of the engine. The primary circuit conveys a gas from the outlet of the engine to the inlet of the engine. The primary circuit including a valve body having a rotary flap rotatably disposed in the valve body. A bypass circuit extends from a branch point intermediate the outlet of the engine and the valve body to the valve body.

  • Publication number: 20180087430
Abstract: A thermal energy management system for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes a coolant circuit including the internal combustion engine and a first heat exchanger. The coolant circuit is configured to convey a coolant therethrough. The thermal energy management system includes a gas circuit including the internal combustion engine, the first heat exchanger, and an exhaust line configured to convey an exhaust gas produced by the engine from the gas circuit. The first heat exchanger exchanging heat energy between the coolant flowing through the coolant circuit and the exhaust gas flowing through the gas circuit.

  • Publication number: 20170058754
Abstract: A thermoregulation system, especially for automobiles, the thermoregulation system including an exhaust-gas outlet for discharging exhaust gas from the engine, an engine gas inlet, an exhaust-gas recirculation circuit between the exhaust-gas outlet and the gas inlet for recirculating at least part of the exhaust gases, a circuit for conducting and/or circulating the coolant in order to cool the engine, whereby the coolant-conducting circuit includes a latent-heat storage unit which receives heat from or transfers heat to the coolant. A first heat exchanger is arranged in the exhaust-gas recycling circuit to exchange heat between the exhaust gas and the coolant. A means for controlling the flow includes at least one valve and at least one branch for controlling the heat exchange in the first heat exchanger. An oil-feed circuit is provided for heating or cooling the oil and includes a second heat exchanger exchanging heat between the oil and the coolant flowing from the first heat exchanger.
