  • Patent number: 4655325
Abstract: An elevator control receives car calls for certain floors which are subject to a restriction of operation, but does not prevent the storage of these car calls. The car calls subject to the restriction of operation are only served during the trip in the opposite direction, if a load increase has been detected by a load measurement device during the change in the direction of travel. The restriction of operation is only cancelled during a predetermined time interval dependent on the movement of the car door and simultaneous occurrence of a load change caused by added travelers. Two storage cells are connected to the car call circuits for the car calls subject to the restriction of operation where an entered call, during a cancelled restriction of operation, is stored in the first storage cell and, during the restriction of operation, is stored in the second storage cell.

  • Patent number: 4411337
Abstract: With this group control the allocation of elevator cabins or cars to existing storey or floor calls should be timewise optimized and newly arriving storey calls should be immediately allocated. A computer device provided for each elevator computates at each landing or storey, irrespective of whether or not there is present a storey or landing call, from the distance between the storey and the cabin position indicated by a selector, the intermediate cabin stops to be expected within this distance and the momentary cabin load a sum proportional to the time losses of waiting passengers. In this way the cabin load prevailing at the computation time point is corrected such that the expected number of passengers entering and exiting the cabin, derived from the previously ascertained number of entering and exiting passengers, is taken into account for the future intermediate cabin stops.

Such loss time sum, also referred to as the servicing cost, is stored in a cost storage or memory provided for each elevator.

  • Patent number: 4298100
Abstract: A switching apparatus operatively associated with each elevator of an elevator group operated by means of a collective control and individual travel control serves the purpose, for instance in hospitals, of switching one or more elevators from one control mode to the other control mode. The switching apparatus comprises four series connected switching stages formed of digital logic or switching elements. By activating one of the key switches of the first switching stage there is initiated the switching operation to the relevant other operating mode, and there are generated signals which eliminate the elevator which is to be switched over from the storey call allocation. Upon arrival of an input information or signal which signals the operating state "free" of the elevator which is to be switched over, there is accomplished allocation to the desired operating mode by freeing the correlated door control by means of output signals produced in the second switching stage.

  • Patent number: 4263989
Abstract: An apparatus for selecting an elevator cabin at a transportation installation, especially an elevator system, for direct travel of an elevator group, controlled by means of a group control, possesses additional storey call transmitters and storey call storages. The storey call storages are connected with a call blocking device having infed thereto a first signal train or sequence produced during scanning of the storey call storages. The call blocking device possesses further inputs, to which there is infed information blocking already allocated calls, so that at its output there appears a second signal train or sequence no longer containing the allocated calls. This output is connected with a respective input of call allocation devices operatively associated with the elevators. The call allocation devices are operatively interconnected with one another by means of a switching circuit.
