    Abstract: An electrical machine, in particular a synchronous reluctance motor, having a rotor having a number of similar permanent magnets, each of which is disposed in each case in an associated pocket of the rotor. Permanent magnets adjacent in a tangential direction can be installed only in one position in the respective pocket, in which the magnetization directions is rotated by 180° with respect to a radial straight line associated with the respective permanent magnet. A rotor of an electrical machine is also provided.
