  • Publication number: 20070243267
Abstract: Methods of preparing and using natural or synthetic zeolitic compositions therapeutically to alleviate, cure, or even preclude human host indisposition from exposure to bacteria within the Bacillus anthracis group: namely, B. anthracis, B. cereus, B. Mycoides, and B. thurigiensis. Exposure to bacilli of the first member of that group causes the often fatal disease anthrax.

  • Publication number: 20060204594
Abstract: Methods of preparing and using natural or synthetic zeolitic compositions therapeutically, so as to alleviate, cure, or even preclude human host disease attributable to exposure to bacteria within the Bacillus anthracis group: comprising, B. anthracis, B. cereus, B. Mycoide, and B. thurigiensis. Human exposure to the first member of the group causes the usually fatal disease, anthrax, in the absence of such effective pretreatment.

  • Patent number: 5935611
Abstract: Zeolytic inhibition of biocatalysis that is mediated by enzymes conducive to dysfunctional condition of a host or to contamination of a beverage or foodstuff thereof, by administering a natural or synthetic zeolite thereto. A zeolite or equivalent ion-exchanger is administered to the site of a dysfunctional condition catalyzed by an enzyme dependent upon certain ions, whereupon the ions are adsorbed thereby, thus interrupting the dysfunctional condition or abating the contamination. A therapeutic concentration of the zeolite is administered in finely divided condition, whether dry or as an aerosol or as a liquid suspension, and is effective against a variety of bacterial, fungal, protozoan, and viral infections.

  • Patent number: 4093546
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for removing organic waste from a stream of water and for growing Tubifex worms, Chironomidae larvae, infusoria and other like organisms. The apparatus comprises a plurality of pans with each successive pan displaced below the preceding pan so that water is allowed to run therethrough. Dividers are positioned within the pans to entenuate the channel in which the water flows. The organisms are added to collect organic waste, digest it and thereby clear the water. After the organisms multiply to the extent of having a population in excess of the numbers optimal for filtering, the excess is removed from the pans and used as a source of protein for animal feeding.

  • Patent number: 4064836
Abstract: An aquatic tank is disclosed comprising a frame-like base which may be formed from a one piece continuous or open loop member configured into a predetermined shape and designed to support a flexible tank therefrom. The tank may include a single layer having its upper peripheral edge connected in sealing engagement to the frame, or alternately, the tank may be formed from two layers arranged in spaced relation to one another. The two layers are joined to the frame by a portion of the material itself which is folded over the frame to define the open top of the tank.

  • Patent number: 4038945
Abstract: A breeding facility for fish and like marine life comprising a plurality of intercommunicating tanks arranged in interconnected relation to one another in a predetermined relation so as to establish a successive flow or path of travel of marine life through each of a predetermined number of the tanks. An interconnector access apertures and flow regulator are mounted or connected in corresponding and predetermined location relative to the access apertures of each of the tanks such that these tanks may be selectively opened for fluid communication therebetweeen or closed off to prohibit flow of marine life therebetween. One or more of the tanks may have specific strengthening member, and specific configurations to provide ready access between the tanks, drainage of the tanks when desired and permanent or temporary disposition of the tanks in a stacked or non-stacked relation to one another.
