  • Patent number: 11058980
Abstract: The present solution provides a cyclone for separation of gas-liquid mixtures, particularly suitable for a refrigerant accumulator or an accumulator with an internal heat exchanger in a vehicle air conditioning system using carbon dioxide as refrigerant, including an inlet of the gas-liquid mixture and a body of the cyclone with an inlet chamber, an outlet chamber, and at least one stationary vane in the form of a helix to ensure rotation of the mixture in the cyclone outlet chamber, where the gas-liquid mixture inlet is arranged substantially coaxially with the axis of the cyclone and opens directly into the inlet chamber of the cyclone body. The solution further provides a refrigerant accumulator and an accumulator with an integrated internal heat exchanger which includes the cyclone according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 6271497
Abstract: A plasma torch head has transfer components, including an HF lead and a power lead/gas conduit, which are partially encased in a core fabricated from an elastomer. The core is housed in a rigid shell, which preferably also engages a portion of the transfer components. The shell can be a two-piece shell which is assembled around the core, or can be a single piece cast around the core. The core can be fabricated by securing the transfer components in a mold and filling the mold with an elastomer such as liquid silicone rubber. After curing the elastomer in the mold, the core is stripped from the mold and the shell is formed around the core. In one preferred method, sections of a two-part shell are injection molded from phenolic, placed about the core, and secured together with bolts. In another preferred method, the core is placed in a mold and the mold is filled with a liquid two-part epoxy which is cured in a reduced pressure atmosphere to form a one-piece shell.

  • Patent number: 6213967
Abstract: A neck supporting device comprises a neck support having two ends which, in use, are positioned at least approximately along the sides of the neck of a user, a waist strap which, in use, extends at least approximately around the waist of the user, and connectors to connect the neck support with the waist strap. In a possible embodiment the connectors comprise two strap portions which, in use, each from a separate end of the neck support, first cross over each other across the chest and then across the back of the user and can be reciprocally fastened at least approximately on the belly, simultaneously forming the waist strap. In another possible embodiment the waist strap is a separate part of the neck supporting device, and the connecting means comprise two strap portions which, each from a separate end of the neck support, can be fastened to the waist strap. The two strap portions can be reciprocally coupled by a clip member which, in use, is positioned at least approximately on the chest of the user.

  • Patent number: 6177647
Abstract: An electrode for plasma arc torches has a tip body having a tip cavity with a cavity sidewall. An emissive insert having an insert sidewall resides in the tip cavity. A noble metal foil is interposed between the insert sidewall and the cavity sidewall. To fabricate the electrode, a tip body blank is provided, and a tip cavity having a cavity sidewall is formed therein. An emissive insert having an insert sidewall and being loosely insertable into the tip cavity is provided. The insert sidewall is provided with a textured surface with protuberances. A noble metal foil is selected, having an insert-contacting surface and a cavity-contacting surface. The emissive insert and the noble metal foil are placed into the tip cavity of the tip body blank, arranged such that the insert-contacting surface of the foil faces the insert sidewall of the emissive insert, while the cavity-contacting surface of the foil faces the cavity sidewall.

  • Patent number: 6135973
Abstract: A neck supporting device comprising a neck support for supporting the back of the neck and the back lower part of the head of a wearer, and two connecting straps for, each from a respective end of the neck support, connecting the neck support to a body harness such that, in use, the connecting straps are directed to the lower torso of the wearer. The neck support includes a semi-rigid member having a curvature adapted to the curvature of the back of the neck and the back lower part of the head when the head is positioned in a non-tilted position with respect to the wearer's torso. The neck supporting device may comprise a waist belt as the body harness or may be adapted for fastening to a car safety belt as the body harness.
