Patent number: 6604447Abstract: A swash plate-type, variable displacement compressor according to the present invention has a structure wherein the shoe holding portion of the piston sandwiches the swash plate from inside. The swash plate is connected to the rotor by a pin which extends in a direction tangential to a surface of a virtual cylinder around an axis of the drive shaft so as to be capable of swinging with respect to the pin. Especially, the position of the pin in the axial direction of the drive shaft is selected, so that a piston top clearance of a piston which is in a top dead center position becomes zero. By this configuration, the piston top clearance of all the pistons may be maintained at zero for all oblique angles of the swash plate. As a result, for any oblique angle, the volumetric efficiency of the compressor may be improved.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2001Date of Patent: August 12, 2003Assignee: Sanden CorporationInventors: Jiro Iizuka, Yuujirou Morita

Publication number: 20020024932Abstract: A communication connecting device includes a data storage to which data read by a scanner are written. A packetizer packetizes the data read out of the data storage in accordance with a packet size fed from a size information storage. A rate controller counts a period of time after the start of packet transmission or a period of time consumed to send a preselected number of packets. The rate controller calculates a communication rate on the basis of the above period of time and the number of packets sent, and then compares the communication rate with a communication rate assigned to a receiving terminal and defined by a Recommendation T.30 protocol. The rate controller allows the packets to be sent only if the calculated communication rate is lower than the communication rate of the receiving terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2001Publication date: February 28, 2002Inventor: Jiro Iizuka

Patent number: 6120269Abstract: This invention provides a scroll type compressor employing an Oldham coupling producing little vibration or noise and in which components thereof are easy to produce by means of a lathe. The Oldham coupling blocks a rotation of a movable scroll member 4. A direction of a reciprocation of the Oldham coupling 16 coincides with a minor axis of an elliptic circulating orbit of the movable scroll member 4. When a total mass of the movable scroll member 4 and parts circulating elliptically together therewith is ma, a mass of an Oldham ring 16 is mb, a radius of a minor axis of an elliptic circulating orbit is R.sub.Y and a radius of a major axis of the elliptic circulating orbit is R.sub.X, a relation of R.sub.X =(1+mb/ma)R.sub.Y is established.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1998Date of Patent: September 19, 2000Assignee: Sanden CorporationInventors: Jiro Iizuka, Satoru Saito

Patent number: 6033194Abstract: A scroll-type fluid displacement apparatus includes a pair of scroll members, each having a circular end plate and a spiral wrap element extending from an axial end surface of the circular end plate. An anti-wear plate member is disposed in the inner surface of the end plate of at least one of the scroll members and extends from a first place adjacent the radial center of the end plate to a second place positioned radially and spirally inward of the outer terminal end of the spiral wrap element of the scroll member. An axial gap is formed between the radial center of the inner surface of the end plate of the scroll member and the radial inner end of the spiral wrap element of the opposite scroll member. The radial inner end of the spiral wrap element of one scroll member is thereby prevented from contact with the radial center of the inner surface of the end plate of the other scroll member.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1997Date of Patent: March 7, 2000Assignee: Sanden CorporationInventor: Jiro Iizuka

Patent number: 5944500Abstract: A scroll-type fluid displacement apparatus includes a pair of scrolls having a circular end plate and a spiral wrap extending from an axial end surface of the circular end plate. A pair of scrolls is maintained at an angular and radial offset to make a plurality of line contacts between the spiral curved surfaces, which define fluid pockets. A driving mechanism is operatively connected to one of the scrolls to effect relative orbital motion with respect to the other scrolls to thereby change the volume of the fluid pockets. The spiral element of each scroll member has a stepped cross-section. As a result, the mechanical strength of the spiral elements of the scroll member of the fluid displacement apparatus is increased and the fluid displacement apparatus has increased durability and efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1997Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Assignee: Sanden CorporationInventor: Jiro Iizuka

Patent number: 5938418Abstract: In a scroll type fluid displacement apparatus in which a drive pin (151) is connected between a large-diameter portion (15) of a main shaft (13) and a bushing (33) rotatably held to a movable scroll (26) and which a rotation of the main shaft is transmitted to the bushing through the drive pin to make the movable scroll have an orbital motion around a predetermined axis, a balance weight (331) attached to the bushing has a positioning projection (331c) which is engaged with the large-diameter portion in a rotation direction of the bushing. Therefore, the movable scroll is positioned relative to the main shaft. In addition, the movable scroll defines fluid pockets in cooperation with a fixed scroll (25) therebetween. When the orbital motion of the movable scroll is caused in dependence on rotation of the main shaft with inhibiting rotation of the movable scroll around the predetermined axis, the fluid pockets are displaced between the movable and the fixed scrolls.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 1997Date of Patent: August 17, 1999Assignee: Sanden CorporationInventor: Jiro Iizuka
