Abstract: The present invention provides a hair treatment composition (I) comprising the following components (a) and (b), or a hair treatment composition (II) comprising the following components (c) and (b), and a method for imparting elasticity to the hair using the composition: (a) an organic solvent; (b) at least one aromatic sulfonic acid selected from naphthalenesulfonic acids, azulenesulfonic acids, tetralin-sulfonic acids, indansulfonic acids and benzophenonesulfonic acids or salts thereof; and (c) a reducing agent.

Abstract: A keratinous fiber dye composition comprising a developer and a coupler, wherein the coupler is a 2-substituted amino-5-alkylphenol derivative represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein the all symbols are defined in the disclosure, is disclosed. The dyeing composition for a keratin fiber give a vivid red color tone having a high chroma and an extremely high fastness.

Abstract: A dye composition for keratinous fibers is disclosed. The composition comprises a developing substance and, as a coupling substance, a 3,5-diaminopyridine derivative of the following formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is an alkoxy group or a group ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 may be the same or different and individually represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyalkyl group, R.sup.4 a hydroxy, alkoxy, or hydroxyalkyl group, and n is a number of 1-4; or a salt thereof.
