Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus in which ultrasonic waves transmitted to a subject under examination and reflected from a subject under examination are received to generate ultrasonic images such as a B-mode image (tomographic image) and a D-mode image indicating a blood-flow velocity profile and a superimposed image in which a marker is superimposed upon, for example, the B-mode image in a movable fashion is displayed. When the superimposed image is displayed, the brightness of the marker is controlled such that the brightness of the marker is changed when the position of the marker is changed and the brightness of the marker is restored after a predetermined period of time has elapsed.
