  • Publication number: 20210022916
Abstract: A device insertion tool can include a body and a light redirecting structure. The body can extend along a central longitudinal axis between forward and aft ends. The body can include a device mount portion at the forward end to hold an optic and a handle portion at the aft end configured to be held. The body can be inserted into an anterior chamber of the eye with the optic mounted on the device mount portion at the forward end. The light redirecting structure can be engaged with the body between the forward and aft ends. The light redirecting structure can be one of at least one mirror and at least one prism. The light redirecting structure can be directed at the forward end and can be configured to redirect light traveling from the forward end toward the aft end transverse to the central longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20210025681
Abstract: A projectile launching system can include a projectile launcher and a projectile. The projectile launcher can include at least one barrel, a projectile, a firing pin mechanism, an activator, and a power system. The barrel can extend along a longitudinal axis between first and second ends, with an exit port at the second end. The projectile can be positioned in the barrel and include primer, propellant, and a sub-projectile. The firing pin mechanism can be selectively project into the barrel to engage the primer, whereby the propellant is ignited and the projectile is launched out of the barrel. The activator can be engaged with the firing pin mechanism and engageable by a user to control the firing pin mechanism. The power system can rotate the barrel or the projectile as the firing pin mechanism is projecting into the barrel and engaging the primer of the projectile.

  • Publication number: 20200261217
Abstract: An accommodating intraocular lens assembly can include a first lens, a first plurality of stanchions, a second lens, and a second plurality of stanchions. A central optic axis can extend through centers of the first and second lenses. The first plurality of stanchions can each extend a first distance between a first base end and a first distal end. The first lens can be connected with the first distal ends. The second plurality of stanchions can each extend a second distance between a second base end and a second distal end. The second lens can be connected with the second distal ends. Compression at the peripheries of the stanchions induces movement of the lenses apart from one other.

  • Publication number: 20200237502
Abstract: An accommodating intraocular lens assembly can include first stanchions, a forward optic, second stanchions, an intermediate member, third stanchions, fourth stanchions, and an aft optic. Each stanchion can extend between a base end and a distal end. The forward optic can be connected with the distal ends of the first stanchions. The intermediate member can be connected with the distal ends of the second stanchions and of the third stanchions. The aft optic can be connected with the distal ends of the fourth stanchions.

  • Publication number: 20200085566
Abstract: A prosthesis configured to be implanted in a cornea of an eye, to interconnect host tissue with a corneal graft, is disclosed herein. The prosthesis can include a body and a slit. The body can extend between first and second ends. The body can define a section of maximum width between the ends. The body can narrow at the ends and converge to first and second tips. The slit can be defined in the body at the first end and can have a width. A portion of the body between the second tip and the section of maximum width can have a width that is less than the width of the slit, whereby the portion of the body between the second tip and the section of maximum width is receivable in the slit.

  • Patent number: 10265163
Abstract: A method of positioning an accommodating intraocular lens assembly in an eye can include implanting an accommodating intraocular lens assembly having a positive power lens in the eye. The accommodating intraocular lens assembly can also include a plurality of stanchions extending between base ends and distal ends. The base ends can be disposed in spaced relation to one another about a first arcuate periphery positioned in a ciliary sulcus of the eye. The distal ends can be disposed about a second arcuate periphery extending in a second plane positioned forward and outside of a capsular bag of the eye. The positive-power lens can be connected with the plurality of distal ends whereby a center of the positive power lens is moved along the central optic axis in response to contraction of the first arcuate periphery by contraction of the ciliary sulcus.

  • Publication number: 20160314259
Abstract: A method of managing an electronic health record and displaying a patient's medical state can include receiving a first input corresponding to the medical state, including a first plurality of positives that each correspond to a deviation from a healthy state. The method can also include updating the electronic health record of the patient by adding the first input and comparing the positives with a plurality of different medical conditions each defined by positives. The method can also include grouping at least some of the first plurality of positives that collectively correlate to at least one of the medical conditions. The method can also include displaying a plurality of objects including a homunculus plane, nodes projecting away from the plane, axes interconnecting the nodes, and a planar bundling object enveloping at least some of the nodes.
