  • Patent number: 11934841
Abstract: A method for managing a chassis includes obtaining, by an enclosure controller of the chassis, a power supply application to the chassis using a power supply interface, wherein the power supply interface is operatively connected to a plurality of power supplies, initiating a boot-up of a kernel of the chassis in response to the power supply application, initiating a parallel boot task using the power supply management temporary namespace to identify a power supply of the plurality of power supplies, initiating a mounting of a boot-up file system, and initiating a user space boot-up using the boot-up file system, wherein the user space boot-up and the parallel boot task are initiated in parallel.

  • Patent number: 11658845
Abstract: An information handling system includes multiple data ports, a memory, and a processor. Each of the data ports enables a separate communication link of a plurality of communication links for the information handling system. The memory stores data to indicate whether the information handling system supports bridge assurance on each of the communication links. In response to the bridge assurance being supported in the information handling system, the processor provides a message across a first link of the communication links. The message indicates that bridge assurance is supported in the information handling system. The processor also determines whether an acknowledgement message has been received. In response to the acknowledgement message being received, the processor enables the bridge assurance on the first link.

  • Patent number: 10684666
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs encoded on computer storage medium, for identifying a power event of a chassis system; in response to identifying the power event, negotiating between a first and a second enclosure controller (EC) to place the one of the ECs in an active state, wherein the first and the second EC are redundant; in response to placing one of the ECs in the active state, performing, by a chassis orchestration engine, a sequence of actions, including: determining, by coordinating with a first daemon, whether a condition is present that would prevent safe activation of a power supply unit, activating, by coordinating with a second daemon, the power supply unit of the chassis system, activating, by coordinating with a third daemon, a cooling system of the chassis system after performing the sequence of actions, providing a signal to components indicating the active state of the first EC.
