  • Patent number: 5573059
Abstract: An air conditioning machine has a unit main body having an inlet port and an outlet port. The unit main body includes a cross flow fan, having a circular cross section, for introducing indoor air into the unit main body through the inlet port and blowing the air into the room. A heat exchanger is arranged on an indoor air introducing side of the cross flow fan and bent at a portion along a longitudinal direction of the heat exchanger at an acute angle. The heat exchanger has a front side heat exchanger located on a front side of the air conditioning machine and curved along the circular cross section of the cross flow fan and a rear side heat exchanger located on a rear side thereof.

  • Patent number: 5482115
Abstract: A bent finned tube heat exchanger to transfer heat between a fluid passing through the tubes and a fluid passing around the heat exchanger, and a plate fin therefor. The plate fin has a zigzag shape defining a plurality of sharp parts and pointing alternately in opposite directions, a plurality of weakened portions, each provided between adjacent sharp parts and holes in the sharp parts aligned in two lines in the longitudinal direction of the plate fin. The heat exchanger is constructed with a plurality of the plate fins and tubes passing through the holes of the plate fins. The sharp parts are separated from each other, along the weakened portions, during bending so that the lengths of the tubes in the two lines is equalized when the heat exchanger is bent.

  • Patent number: 4939910
Abstract: An air conditioner provided with a heat-pump system refrigerating cycle including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve, an indoor heat exchanger installed within a room, and a radiation type heat exchanger connected in a circuit. An indoor unit includes the indoor heat exchanger, the radiation type heat exchanger displaced in a state exposed to the room and an indoor fan. A selector is provided to select between a warm-air heating during which the indoor fan is turned on and a radiant heating during which the indoor fan is turned off. The capacity of the compressor during the radiant heating mode is adjusted below the capacity during the warm-air heating mode.
