The rotary support is rotatably connected to the back shell, includes a rotary base rotatably received in the hole, a connection member pivotedly connected to the rotary base, and an elongated support body slidably coupled to the connection member. The connection member includes a spring tab, a support body defining a plurality of channels. The channels are arranged along a lengthwise direction of the connection portion. the spring tab is selectively snappingly engaged in one of the channels. One of the rotary base and the back shell includes a plurality of protrusions, and the other one of the rotary base and the back shell defines a plurality of notches corresponding to the protrusions, the protrusions are snappingly engaging in the respective notches.

Abstract: A cordless telephone which includes a base station having a first phone-line interface and a first wireless transmitter/receiver, wherein the base station is connected to telephone network through the first phone-line interface. The cordless telephone further includes a handset having a second wireless transmitter/receiver communicating with the first wireless transmitter/receiver of the base station. The handset further includes a second phone-line interface capable of connecting to telephone network to allow the handset to communicate with the telephone network without the base station. Therefore, the user can still use the cordless telephone when the base station is unavailable due to power failure or malfunction.

The elastic portion comprises a protruding latching portion. The power adapter also includes a plug with second terminals exposed at a first side thereof and a chamber defined in an opposite second side. Each of the second terminals includes an end portion received in the chamber, and the chamber includes an internal sidewall defining a recessed portion snappingly engaging with the latching portion, thereby detachably securing the plug to the base.
