  • Patent number: 11113580
Abstract: An image classification system includes a storage device, a computing device and a first processing device. The storage device stores a plurality of pseudo-centroid datasets, wherein the pseudo-centroid datasets correspond to a plurality of units of first image dataset, and the number of pseudo-centroid data points of each of the pseudo-centroid datasets is much smaller than the number of data points of each of the units of first image dataset. The computing device receives the second image data and computes a plurality of feature values of the second image data. The first processing device receives the feature values and the pseudo-centroid datasets, and compares the feature values with the pseudo-centroid data points to identify and classify the second image data.

  • Patent number: 10169914
Abstract: An indoor positioning method, indoor positioning system and indoor maps creating device thereof are provided. The method includes converting a panorama image corresponding to an indoor environment into a plurality of perspective images, and extracting a plurality of reference feature points and descriptors of the reference feature points from the perspective images; taking a shooting position of the panorama image as an origin, and recoding a plurality of 3D reference coordinate values corresponding to a central position of each perspective images; calculating 3D coordinate values of the reference feature points base on the 3D reference coordinate values, and storing the 3D coordinate values and the descriptors of the reference feature points as an indoor map corresponding to the indoor environment. The method also includes determining a 3D target coordinate value of a portable electronic device with respect to the origin of the indoor maps in the indoor environment.

  • Publication number: 20110313662
Abstract: A navigation apparatus and system provided on a mobile carrier performs error correction for positioning information and orienting information of the carrier through a position sensing module and an orientation sensing module and analyzes the corrected positioning information and orienting information by the usage of a route planning module, so as to generate corresponding route planning information, while simultaneously showing an instruction label having the route planning information correspondingly and a real image of the location surrounding the carrier. Thereby, the invention may provide not only an accurate carrier positioning function but also correct navigation information according to the behavior mode of a user.

  • Publication number: 20110285583
Abstract: A perceptive global positioning device is disposed on or carried by a carrier (vehicle, pedestrian, etc.) for receiving positioning signals transmitted from satellites, to detect various behavioral states related to movement and correct errors in positioning data for positioning the carrier. The positioning device includes a sensor for receiving positioning data related to the global position of the carrier transmitted from satellites, a database for storing the positioning data received by the sensor and a preset behavioral transition matrix of the carrier, an analysis module for analyzing the positioning data and behavioral transition matrix to obtain predictable behavior data, and a correction module for comparing the predictable behavior data with the positioning data so as to correct errors of the positioning data of the carrier, thereby overcoming the defect of inaccurate data as encountered in the prior art.

  • Patent number: 6226669
Abstract: Real-time interactivity is provided across a shared multiple-participant three-dimensional (3D) virtual-reality environment on the World Wide Web (WWW), with the purpose of allowing a plurality of users to participate in a 3D virtual-reality world where the participants can share information and interact with each other substantially in real time. Through the use of a Client-Information Manager Program (CIMP) module, which is connected via a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) module to the WWW server, each user is able to interactively communicate with any of the other users participating together in the same 3D virtual-reality world. The shared multiple-participant 3D virtual-reality environment utilizes modified Protocol Data Unit (PDU) formats based on the Distributive tive Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol for data communication among the WWW server and the various client sites.
