  • Publication number: 20110235260
Abstract: A dynamic radon access memory (DRAM) module includes a printed circuit board, a number of DRAM units, a number of flash memory units, a number connecting pins and an interface controller. The DRAM units and the flash memory units are distributed on the printed circuit board. The connecting pins are formed at an edge of the printed circuit board. The interface controller is electrically connected to the flash memory units and a portion of the connecting pins, wherein each of the interface controller provides at least one serial interface between the flash memory units and the portion of connecting pins thereby enabling data transmission through the portion of connecting pins in at least one serial mode. The flash memory units integrally constitute a flash disk drive in the DRAM module. Therefore, frequently installation and uninstallation of the flash memory drive can be avoided. A motherboard assembly including the aforementioned DRAM module can be developed.

  • Patent number: 7278583
Abstract: A composite Compact Flash card includes a storage unit, a slot, a mechanical switch, a switch detecting circuit and a control unit. The slot is used for plugging an external small-sized memory card therein. The mechanical switch is electrically connected to the slot for selecting one of the storage unit and the small-sized memory card to store data therein and generating a switching signal according to the selecting result. The switch detecting circuit is electrically connected to the mechanical switch, and generates a control signal in response to the switching signal. The control unit is electrically connected to the storage unit, the slot and the switch detecting circuit for controlling an accessing operation of the storage unit or the small-sized memory card.

  • Publication number: 20070162622
Abstract: A dual flash disk storage device integrates a first flash disk storage device and a second flash disk storage device into a single module by an advanced technology attachment (ATA) interface, and has two independent physical first and second flash disk storage devices, and uses a jumper to set the first flash disk storage device to a master or a second flash disk storage device to a slave. After the master and slave are set up, a computer system can distinguish the two independent physical hard disks, so that users can store or read data in the first flash disk storage device or the second flash disk storage device.

  • Publication number: 20070120643
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) used for the security function of a portable storage device includes a radio frequency transceiver and an electronic tag. The radio frequency transceiver is installed in the portable storage device, such that if a user wants to read data in the portable storage device through a computer system, the radio frequency transceiver will transmit an interrogation signal to search for an electronic tag within a signal receivable range. After the electronic tag receives the interrogation signal, it will transmit a response signal to the transceiver for performing an authentication to confirm whether or not the user has the right of reading the data in the portable storage device.
