  • Publication number: 20110076757
Abstract: An automated algae culture apparatus includes at least one photosynthetic reactor module and an auxiliary equipment module. The photosynthetic reactor module includes a transparent container used to contain an algae solution which includes algae. The auxiliary equipment module includes a hydraulic filter, a buffer tank and an aerator. The hydraulic filter is used to filter the algae in the algae solution, and is communicated with a water outlet of the transparent container to filter the algae by gravity force. The buffer tank is communicated with a water inlet of the transparent container. The aerator is communicated with an air inlet of the transparent container.

  • Publication number: 20110038882
Abstract: A method for treating or alleviating allergic disease in a mammal in need thereof having administering to the mammal a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition having phycocyanin is provided. A method for modulating balance between Th1 and Th2 immune response in a mammal in need thereof, having administering to the mammal an effective amount of phycocyanin, wherein immune response of the mammal is skewed toward the Th1 immune response is also provided. Phycocyanin from Bangia atropupurea (Ba-PC) is identified to regulate mammalian immunological response indicating that Ba-PC can direct skewed immune response toward Th1 response through modulating DC function, increase proliferative activity of antigen-specific T cells and alleviate airway inflammation, confirming that phycobiliproteins are effective in treating allergic disease.

  • Publication number: 20070134786
Abstract: An assaying device for determining the activity value of Nattokinase solution includes a container having a testing solution therein. Because the testing solution can react with a Nattokinase solution and the reacted testing solution has a different color from the original testing solution, when the testing solution contacts a Nattokinase solution, the reaction occurs along the container. By measuring the length of the reacted testing solution, the activity value of the Nattokinase solution can be easily and quickly obtained.

  • Publication number: 20070072253
Abstract: A method of determining a standard activity value of Nattokinase includes preparing a standard curve with respect to a plurality of Nattokinases having predetermined activity values by calculating corresponding dilution multiples using a standard essay, obtaining a sample curve with respect to an indeterminate Nattokinase by diluting the indeterminate Nattokinase with a plurality sample dilution multiples to calculate corresponding activity values using the standard essay, and determining a standard activity of the indeterminate Nattokinase by comparing the standard curve and the sample curve in a diagram to obtain an intersection.

  • Publication number: 20060258844
Abstract: This present invention is related to an algae fluorescence protein dry powder structure and the manufacturing method thereof. The algae fluorescence protein dry powder structure includes a substrate and a mixture layer, which is coated around the substrate. The mixture layer consists of polysaccharide and algae fluorescence protein, wherein the weight proportion of the polysaccharide should be smaller than 10%. The method will dry the algae fluorescence protein and then protect the structure of them from damage.
