  • Patent number: 11926787
Abstract: A well cementing method is described for improving cementing quality by controlling the hydration heat of cement slurry. By controlling the degree and/or rate of hydration heat release from cement slurry, the method improves the hydration heat release during formation of cement with curing of cement slurry, improves the binding quality between the cement and the interfaces, and in turn improves the cementing quality at the open hole section and/or the overlap section. The cementing method improves cementing quality of oil and gas wells and reduces the risk of annular pressure.

  • Patent number: 8617650
Abstract: Aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes were grown on both sides of a metallic or metal-coated substrate by water vapor-assisted chemical vapor deposition. Aligned carbon nanotube films of thickness ranging from 1 ?m to over 100 ?m were obtained. By manipulating various operating factors—position of substrate in the reactor, amount of water vapor, amount of catalyst, reactor temperature, and growth time, the morphology and thickness of these carbon nanotube films could be adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20100034730
Abstract: The present subject matter provides a time- and energy-saving paste-state mechanochemical process to synthesize zinc oxide nanoparticles. Our nanoparticles are small, have abundant surface hydroxyl groups and exhibit excellent UV blocking characteristics. One embodiment involves a process for preparing zinc oxide nanoparticles comprising grinding, milling, or a combination thereof a mixture comprising (a) at least one zinc salt, (b) at least one additional inorganic salt, and (c) at least one alkali hydroxide compound.
