The method includes: setting a plurality of particle tightening time periods and a plurality of gray level displaying time periods for the pixel units respectively, where each of the gray level displaying time periods is arranged after each corresponding particle tightening time period; providing a plurality of particle tightening voltages to the pixel units for tightening the particles of the pixel units respectively during the particle tightening time periods, and providing a plurality of display driving voltages to the pixel units during the gray level displaying time periods. The particle tightening time periods and/or the gray level displaying time periods are determined by a plurality of display gray level data corresponding to the pixel units.
