  • Patent number: 11994114
Abstract: A nacelle for a wind turbine is disclosed. The nacelle comprises a self-carrying rear structure (1) extending in a length direction (4) between a front end (6) defining an interface towards a hub mounted rotatably on the nacelle, and a rear end (7) arranged opposite to the front end (6), the nacelle defining an interface (15) towards a tower (14) of the wind turbine. The nacelle further comprises at least one pre-tensioned brace cable (8, 9) attached to the rear structure (1) at a first position (10) at or near the interface (15) towards the tower (14) along the length direction (4), at a second position (11) at or near the rear end (7) of the rear structure (1), and at at least one intermediate position (12) between the first position (10) and the second position (11) along the length direction (4). A direction defined by the pre-tensioned brace cable (8, 9) is changed at each intermediate position (12).

  • Patent number: 11828270
Abstract: A nacelle of a wind turbine is disclosed. The nacelle comprises a rear frame structure (1) comprising a plurality of truss assemblies (2) being connected to each other at connecting regions (3). At least one of the truss assemblies (2) comprises at least one beam structure (4), the beam structure (4) comprising at 5 least a first beam member (5) and a second beam member (6) being arranged substantially in parallel to each other, thereby defining a longitudinal direction of the beam structure (4). The first (5) and the second (6) beam members are retained to each other by a retaining means (12). The retaining means (12) is configured to enable the first beam member (5) to slide relative to the second 10 beam member (6) along the longitudinal direction, e.g. by means of oblong slits (11) formed in the first beam members (5) and bolts (12) extending through the oblong slits (11) and being attached to the second beam members (6).

  • Patent number: 11629703
Abstract: A nacelle of a wind turbine generator comprising: a base frame (10) that is separate from and which supports a main bearing housing (12), in use, the base frame (10) being configured to connect with a lower portion of the main bearing housing (12); and a nacelle structure (8) that is separate from and which is connected to the base frame (10) at a first connection, wherein that nacelle structure (8) extends away from the base frame (10) and defines at least in part an interior nacelle volume; characterised in that the nacelle structure (8) is connected to the main bearing housing (12) by way of a second connection at a point arranged above a plane of a rotor axis of the main bearing housing (12).
