  • Patent number: 11855447
Abstract: A downhole power supply and method for supplying downhole power are disclosed. In some embodiments a downhole power supply includes a source power supply including a supply cable coupled to an electric energy source. The downhole power supply further includes at least one downhole distribution network to which the supply cable is configured to couple the electric energy source. The at least one downhole distribution network includes, multiple load supplies providing regulated power levels to multiple downhole loads and a network controller configured to individually connect and disconnect each of the load supplies in response to a failure within the downhole distribution network.

  • Patent number: 11668189
Abstract: Power signals and data signals can be wirelessly transmitted from a surface read-out unit to a downhole tool and the downhole tool can wirelessly transmit data about an environment of a wellbore to the surface read-out unit. The downhole tool can be used for a wellbore operation and include at least one coupler. The surface read-out unit can wirelessly transmit the power signals to the downhole tool and can wirelessly transceive data signals with the downhole tool. The surface read-out unit includes at least one wireless coupler through which to transfer the power signals and the data signals to the at least one coupler of the downhole tool.

  • Patent number: 11560782
Abstract: A system for monitoring conditions in a wellbore includes a sensor assembly and a controller assembly. The sensor assembly attaches to a portion of a casing disposed in the wellbore and includes a sensor module and an inductive module. The sensor module measures conditions in the wellbore and the inductive module forms a wireless communication channel. The inductive module includes a first set of inductive coils and a second set of inductive coils that substantially surround the first set of inductive coils. The controller assembly attaches to a portion of a production tube housed within the casing and includes at least one coil inductively coupled to the inductive module, and communicates signals over the wireless communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20210404299
Abstract: Acid plays an important role in the hydraulic fracturing process, such as removing damage from the cement and formation which can result from perforating operations, thus providing a better path for the fracturing operations that follow. The disclosure relates generally to microencapsulated acid or acid precursor for targeted delivery and dosing of acid at the site of perforation in hydraulic fracturing applications, device and method of use the same. The targeted delivery and dosing of acid at the site of perforation provides the benefit of, including but not limited to, eliminating over acidizing (limiting near wellbore formation damage) and optimizing the removal of perforation residue and formation materials for lowering break-down pressure.
