  • Patent number: 7779053
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a computer program product and an engineering system for creating a diagnostic model of an automation system made up of various automation components. The diagnostic model is generated automatically during the project planning phase of the automation system. Within the diagnostic model the automation components are represented by model nodes. Functional and/or physical relationships between the automation components are mapped by links between the corresponding model nodes within the diagnostic model. Each model node contains status information in which the status of the associated automation component is stored. By evaluating the status information, the status of the automation system can be investigated and monitored with the aid of the diagnostic model.

  • Publication number: 20060171415
Abstract: The invention provides an electronic system for vehicles. The electronic system comprises an electronic control unit 10a, peripheral units 12b, 12c, and a communication line 20. The communication line 20 connects the electronic control unit 10a with the peripheral units 12b or 12c. Discrete successive digital data packets are exchanged between the control unit 10a and the peripheral unit 12b or 12c via the communication line. The electronic system is configured so as to vary the duration a1, a2, . . . , am of the data packets and/or the duration Tx,1, Tx,2, . . . , Tx,n of the information bits contained in the appertaining data packet ax, thereby reducing electromagnetic interference.

  • Publication number: 20050120098
Abstract: A device and method thereof for exchanging data (D) between components (K1 to Kn) of a communication network (2), particularly a computer network, which are arranged hierarchically in a plurality of levels (E1 to En). In the method, a respective component (K1 to Kn) is assigned a number of application-specific and/or hierarchy-specific configuration criteria (M1 to Mn), which are processed by at least one configuration module (4) associated with all the levels (E1 to En). As such, when the data (D) are transmitted between components (K1 to Kn) of a single level and/or several levels (E1 to En), the configuration criteria (M1 to Mn) stored in the configuration module (4) are transmission-specifically and/or reception-specifically processed and/or adapted at one of the node element (6) associated with a respective level (E1 to En).

  • Publication number: 20040072170
Abstract: The present invention relates to a variety of genes abnormally expressed in heart tissue as well as to fragments of such genes. Assessment of the expression level of these genes may be used for testing the predisposition of mammals and preferably humans for a heart disease or for an acute state of such a disease. Preferred diseases in accordance with the invention are congestive heart failure, dilative cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and ischemic cardiomyopathy. The present invention further relates to methods of identifying compounds capable of normalizing the expression level of the aforementioned genes and of further genes affected by the abnormal expression. The identified compounds may be used for formulating compositions, preferably pharmaceutical compositions for preventing or treating diseases. They may also be used as lead compounds for the development of medicaments having an improved efficiency, a longer half-life, a decreased toxicity etc.

  • Patent number: 6618635
Abstract: A programming apparatus having an arrangement for formulating an automating task to be performed in the form of a programming language for automating apparatuses is described, which simplifies a process error analysis for an analysis unit. For this purpose, the programming apparatus is provided with an arrangement that store operands (9; 27), marked to be monitored, in the order in which they appear in the network in a logic list. Furthermore, the programming apparatus has an arrangement that store the operands of this network in an operand list in the order in which they appear in the network. The lists can be transferred into the analysis unit for analysis.

  • Patent number: 6158557
Abstract: The invention relates to a roller spindle assembly (2) having a spindle rod (4) and a spindle nut (6) and roller bearings (10). The roller bearings are journalled between the spindle nut (6) and the spindle rod (4). The spindle rod (4) and the spindle nut (6) move relative to each other and, for a relative movement of the spindle rod to the spindle nut (6), the roller bearings (10) are displaced out of a start position. The roller bearings (10) are journalled in a cage (8) resiliently biased by a return spring (12). With the cage (8), the roller bearings (10) are guided back into the start position after a completed displacement from the start position when the spindle rod (4) and spindle nut (6) are at rest. In this way, it is not necessary to provide a conventional return of the roller bearings (10) with the aid of complex return-guide channels in the spindle nut (6).
