  • Publication number: 20230406717
Abstract: A process for extracting fluoride from a solution of high pH comprising more than 0.1 mol of alkaline hydroxide and/or alcoholate per liter dissolved in a polar solvent is described. The polar solvent is chosen from water, lower alcohols, and mixtures thereof. The process is characterized in that the solution liquid is contacted with a solid phase adsorbent chosen from a) alkaline earth salts comprising carbonate anions, oxo anions, sulphate anions, or phosphate anions, and alkaline earth salts comprising a mixture of such anions or a mixture of such anions with hydroxyl anions, and b) cation binding resins loaded with one or more 3-valent cations, chosen from 3-valent cations of Al, Ga, In, Fe, Cr, Sc, Y, La and lanthanoides.

  • Publication number: 20230378428
Abstract: Described herein is a process for the manufacture of a fluoride doped cathode active material, where said process includes the steps of (a) providing a particulate oxide or (oxy)hydroxide of transition metals (TM), where TM includes nickel and at least one metal selected from cobalt and manganese, and where said particulate oxide or (oxy)hydroxide has an average particle diameter (D50) in a range of from 3 to 16 ?m, (b) providing a source of lithium that includes 0.01 to 2.5% by weight of fluoride uniformly dispersed within said source of lithium, (c) mixing said oxide or (oxy)hydroxide of TM with said fluoride-including source of lithium and, optionally, with an additional source of lithium including less fluoride, and, optionally, with one or more dopants based on at least one metal other than lithium, and (d) treating the mixture obtained from step (c) thermally.

  • Patent number: 6820013
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the on-line analysis of liquid substance mixtures by means of NIRS. For evaluation by spectral data comparison, merely the binary mixtures of the possible components in quantitative graduations are used as calibration spectra. In order to accelerate the evaluation, all data points of a spectrum are summated, and each spectrum is characterized by only one characteristic number.

  • Patent number: 5349625
Abstract: An x-ray diagnostics installation for peripheral angiography examinations includes a control unit having an arithmetic unit that, on the basis of subject-related data supplied thereto, effects a pre-setting of the electrical parameters of the installation required for every exposure, plus the step length and the number of steps of the relative adjustment of the exposure unit and the patient support relative to one another, as well as the required diaphragm setting. By virtue of the pre-setting, stress on the patient is reduced, and since the overall time per examination is also reduced, patient throughput can be increased.

  • Patent number: 4609940
Abstract: The invention relates to a radiodiagnostic installation with a motor-adjustable patient table, a motor-adjustable radiation diaphragm, and an image intensifier television system for image reproduction. With the monitor of the image intensifier television system a light pen is associated for the entry of certain sites on the monitor into a memory. Connected to the memory are control circuits for the motors of the patient table and of the primary radiation diaphragm, which are designed so that the patient table and the primary radiation diaphragm are adjusted in accordance with the respective image field on the monitor to which the light pen points.
