  • Patent number: 4875604
Abstract: The invention relates to a dispenser for paste-like products which is characterized by a particular simple construction of its dispensing mechanism requiring a reduced number of components. Integrally connected to a supply container of the dispenser is a cylinder body slidably supporting a dispensing piston connected to an actuator cap guided on the cylinder body. The dispensing piston cooperates with the cylinder body to define a pump chamber communicating with the interior of the supply container through a non-return valve. On the other side the bottom portion of the dispensing piston is provided with a non-return valve for establishing communication of the pump chamber with a tubular section carrying the dispensing piston and at the same time acting as an outlet passage for the paste-like product. The tubular section is integrally connected to the actuator cap, the latter being biased towards a rest position by a return spring supported on a fixed counterstop, particularly on the cylinder body.

  • Patent number: 4856679
Abstract: The invention relates to a piston dispenser for pasty products which has a single dispensing passage for simultaneously dispensing two products such as a stripe on toothpaste. The dispenser has a pump chamber (5) of a delivery mechanism and a stripe chamber (6) of a dispensing unit (A) disposed radially adjacent one another in free communication with the interior cavity (3) of the dispenser without the provision of valves. The dispensing unit (A) also includes the dispensing passage (29') which has an opening in communication with the stripe chamber.

  • Patent number: 4796786
Abstract: A dispenser for paste-like products consists of a dispensing head (1) and a cartridge (2) containing the paste-like product. The cartridge has its lower end closed by a follower piston slideable along the interior wall surface of the cartridge under action of the exterior atmosphere. In the dispensing head, a pumping device with a pump chamber is provided. An inlet-check valve is provided for prevention of backflow of paste-like material entering the pump chamber through a passage from the interior of the cartridge. At least one part of the inlet-check valve, for instance, a valve seat thereof or, for instance, all parts of the inlet-check valve, namely, a valve seat and a closure member, are provided on an upper cover wall of the cartridge as part of the cartridge. The cartridge is releasably connectable to the dispensing head. After exhaustion of its contents, the cartridge may be detached from the dispensing head and replaced by a filled cartridge.

  • Patent number: 4515298
Abstract: This relates to a dispenser for paste-like products wherein there is a pump chamber disposed between a container for the product and a dispensing opening and the pump chamber and an adjacent duct have associated therewith flow control inlet and outlet valves. The principal feature resides in the provision of a separate insert which is telescoped between a container and a head member and which insert defines a pump cylinder and a discharge duct and carries and inlet valve element and an outlet valve element. The inlet valve element is integrally formed with the insert while the outlet valve element may be selectively formed integrally with the insert or as a separate insert which may be readily incorporated within the primary insert.

  • Patent number: 4485943
Abstract: A dispenser for a liquid or pasty product comprises a container containing the respective product and having its upper end closed by a partition having at least one opening therethrough. The partition is covered by a head piece provided with an applicator and forms, together with the partition, a pump chamber, the volume of which is adapted to be varied by actuation of exterior means. The pump chamber is separated from the container by a first check valve adapted to open only towards the pump chamber and is separated from the outlet of the applicator by a second check valve adapted to open only towards the outlet.

  • Patent number: 4421255
Abstract: A dispenser for pasty products has a cylindrical body with an open bottom and an outlet in its top. A piston that closes the bottom of the body, cooperating with it to define a chamber, is slidable upward in the body for expelling contents of the chamber out of the outlet. An actuator on the exterior of the body, movable in opposite directions, is manually movable to one limit of its motion and biased to the other limit. A rod connected with the actuator and movable lengthwise up and down in the body has a unidirectional driving connection with the piston that constrains the piston to move upward with it but allows it to move down relative to the piston. A check valve associated with the outlet opens to allow discharge of chamber contents but closes to block flow into the chamber, thus enabling atmospheric pressure to hold the piston against downward motion. Several advantageous unidirectional connections are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4301948
Abstract: This invention relates to a dispenser for paste-like products of the type having a container containing a product and closed at one end by a slidable piston in sealing engagement with the inner wall surface thereof, the other end being provided with a head member carrying on applicator and forming a pump chamber the volume of which is variable by the exertion of exterior pressure, the pump chamber being closed towards said container by a first check valve adapted to open only towards the pump chamber, and towards the outlet of the applicator by a second check valve adapted to open only towards said outlet.
