Abstract: A container having a viewing window essentially comprises a housing with a window which can be fastened to it and is designed in one part as a transparent part and in another part as a masking part, in particular in the edge region. The aim is to cover over the fastening points. In addition, the advantage is obtained of using windows with a wide variety of maskings for the same housing, provided that the contours of the cutout and of the outline of housing and window are adapted at least substantially to one another. The plastic container with windows can be used for all packing and archiving purposes, in particular also as a cassette with a recording medium, for example a magnetic tape cassette.

Abstract: A tape cassette is provided with a housing bearing constriction for the hubs and the support liners are provided with curved or bent liner regions which serve both for guiding the empty hub and for aligning and guiding the windings on the hub, in particular the first tape windings to be wound. Practical embodiments of the liner regions differ from one another in that they have different cross-sectional shapes and different arrangements in the longitudinal direction, tranverse direction or both or have a circular shape.

The conventional two-part housing of such a cassette is formed by essentially planar housing parts connected to one or more third separate housing parts which can be suitably connected to and/or can connect the planar housing parts. The position of the tape guide elements can be improved for all cassettes of this raised housing part type.

Abstract: A container for tape cassettes is provided with one or more locking elements which comprise one or more ring segments which are roughly adapted to the drive orifice of the cassette. An advantageous embodiment is formed integrally with a web and, preferably, an ejector peg. Overlaps in the edge contour part of a joint and the height of the peg adapted to the internal dimension of the container provide greater stability to lateral compressive forces and forces acting during fall.

Abstract: A cuboid container is designed with hinging and pivot-limiting devices which consist of hinge pins, hinge holes and recesses and projections and webs and grooves which fit the latter. The shapes and numbers of the elements are selected so that, in addition to greater ease of manufacture, a reliably functioning hinging and limiting device is achieved in several radial positions. The container is particularly suitable for use as a cassette container.
