  • Patent number: 7103423
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for process-variable-dependent identification signal emission for a closed-loop and/or open-loop control program with cyclic sampling of process variables from a technical process. A threshold value crossing time (ts1, ts3) is determined from at least two previous samples (AT1, AT2, AT5-AT7) of a process variable (P). At this time, an identification signal can be triggered, which can call up a single-stage or multi-stage command sequence. The threshold value crossing time (ts1-ts3) can likewise be determined with the aid of a mathematical approximation function and the samples (AT1, AT2, AT5-AT7). A timing mechanism can be started in the predicted sampling cycle (A12 to A89) preceding the threshold value crossing (SD1-SD3) using a time difference (ZD1-ZD3) remaining until the threshold value crossing (SD1-SD3).

  • Patent number: 6700478
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and an apparatus for time-staggered generation of identifying signals by programmable automation components (AK1, AK2) with a system time recorder (SZ). A user (A) or an automation component (AK1, AK2) or a user program (AP) can register a time-staggered identifying signal (K) with an event manager (EV). The event manager (EV) controls a system time counter (SZ) and signals waiting events (E1-E3) back to the user (A) or the automation component (AK1, AK2) or the user program (AP). The event (E1-E3) is thereby enabled and an identifying signal (K) is generated.

  • Patent number: 6678637
Abstract: Process variables (s1, s2) are detected and processed cyclically in a controller (BG). Process variables (s_(x)) from the adjacent cyclically determined process variables (s_(n−1), s_(n)) are determined as being event-related as a function of the time (t_(x)) of the event within the cycle. The calculation also includes derivatives of the process variable (s).

  • Patent number: 4446408
Abstract: A control apparatus for machine tools is provided which comprises a pulsed digital difference detector having one input connected to a digital branch and having a second input connected to a follower drive and having an output, an adding register having its input connected to the output of the pulsed digital difference detector, an analog nominal value source having its control input connected to the output of the adding register, and an analog branch having an input connected to the analog nominal value source and having its output connected to the input of the follower drive. A drive motor for the tool provides a signal to the digital branch and a drive motor for the blank forms part of the follower drive. The drive motor for the tool is a d.c. motor coupled to a velocity pickup, and cooperating with means for withdrawing the tool and a distance pickup coupled to the drive motor for the blank.
