  • Publication number: 20130195249
Abstract: A medical system such as a diagnostic or a therapeutic system includes a fixed base unit with a control unit and a mobile assembly mounted rotatably on the fixed base unit. The fixed base unit and the mobile assembly are set up to exchange data. Transmission of first control data from the control unit to the mobile assembly takes place via a first transmission path. Transmission of second control data to the control unit and transmission of measured data from the mobile assembly takes place via a second transmission path.

  • Patent number: 8340242
Abstract: A device for the transfer of high frequency electrical signals between a rotating component and a stationary component, in particular for use in a CT system, in particular in a gantry of a CT system has a rotor, a stator; at least one brush attached at the stator, with a number of electrically conductive fibers that establish sliding contact with the rotor, and a slideway arranged to the side of the rotor and facing toward the stator. The fibers of the at least one stator-side brush rest on the slideway. A lubricant is provided on the slideway, a rotor has a capture device for the lubricant that is arranged around the outside of the slideway, and at least one return element for the captured lubricant is attached at the stator.

  • Patent number: 8259757
Abstract: In a method and network for the analysis of synchronized data traffic, at least one network participant stores sent and/or received data packets in a mirror memory, and the data in the respective mirror memories are frozen and made available for evaluation via the entire data network, upon the occurrence of a trigger event in at least one of the active network participants, while maintaining the synchronized data traffic.

  • Patent number: 7924852
Abstract: In a method and network for transferring data and signals between terminal equipment via one or more switching stations, the data and digitized signals are combined in cells, with each cell having a header in which connection information is contained that designates a transmission or routing target. The terminal equipment and switching stations are synchronized so that the cells are transferred in a synchronized manner via one or more switching stations. Signals and high quality of service (QoS) data thus can be transferred through the same network.

  • Patent number: 7673081
Abstract: In a method and system for data and signal transfer between different sub-units of a medically-related system, in particular a CT system, digitized signals and digital data are transmitted together on a transmission line by means of serial multiplexing. The digitized signals and the digital data are transferred combined into individual packets having a length that is so small that the adherence to a predetermined updating rate of the signals is achieved. The expenditure for the wiring as well as for future expansions in medically-related systems can be significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 7466792
Abstract: A system includes exactly one rotary frame for holding at least one x-ray tube, and one radiation detector that is situated opposite, the x-ray tube being equipped with a diaphragm that can be dynamically adjusted. The system includes a first operating mode for imaging in which the x-ray tube radiate a ray fan of constant fan angle onto the oppositely situated detector, and CT image data records are calculated from the measured data of the detector. It includes a second operating mode for irradiation in which by using at least one imaging x-ray tube used in the first operating mode radiates an x-ray fan that varies with reference to alignment during the rotation of the rotary frame, is narrower perpendicular to the system axis, and remains aligned with the site of at least one tumor in the patient independently of the angular position of the rotary frame.

  • Publication number: 20060245537
Abstract: A system is disclosed for producing CT image data records and for irradiating a patient. The system includes exactly one rotary frame for holding at least one x-ray tube, and one radiation detector that is situated opposite, the x-ray tube being equipped with a diaphragm that can be dynamically adjusted during the rotation of the rotary frame. The system includes a first operating mode for imaging in which during the revolution of the rotary frame the x-ray tube radiate a ray fan of constant fan angle onto the oppositely situated detector, and CT image data records are calculated from the measured data of the detector.
