Abstract: An improved telescopic boom for a truck mounted hoist in which at least the middle telescoping section of the boom is fabricated from I-section structural steel having a central web, and upper and lower flanges, the flanges having inwardly facing surfaces lying in angled planes which are not normal to the plane of the web, and in which the trolley and fixed portion of the boom are fabricated of any other suitable structural material, and having at least two sets of identical rimmed wheels, one set mounted directly on the fixed section, and the other set mounted directly on the trolley, without the use of tilting arms, the two sets of wheels riding in opposite sides of the I-section material of the telescopic intermediate section, with the tread of the wheels carrying the load and with the rims providing lateral guidance thereby dispensing both with the mounting arms and with the lateral guide rollers.

Abstract: A universal lifting fork assembly, for lifting a load of product and having tine members, mounted in spaced apart location, for insertion under a load, side frame means with the tine members mounted on the frame means, and being movable to provide different spacings between the tine members, a column member extending upwardly from the frame and being extendible and rectractable to vary its length, fastening means in the column to secure the same at a predetermined adjusted length, a balance bar connected to the upper end of the column means, and extending outwardly to one side, and, adjustable hoist attachment means on the balance bar having locking means, whereby it may be locked in a predetermined adjusted position to center over a load.

Abstract: Hoist apparatus of the type adapted to be mounted on a truck adjacent the truck bed, leaving the truck bed clear, for use in unloading or loading the truck or the like, and comprising a boom, hoist means on said boom, a vertical support column, said boom being mounted on the upper end of said column, and said support column being rotatably mounted for rotating said boom, drive gear means located adjacent the lower end of said support column, rack means meshing with said drive gear means, guide means for guiding movement of said rack to and fro relative to said drive gear, housing means supporting said vertical column, and at least partially embracing said drive gear and supporting said guide means, and power operated means connected with said rack, and mounted on said housing, for driving said rack to and fro.
