  • Patent number: 9140451
Abstract: A gas tap including a gas path includes an electromagnetic safety valve for closing the gas path is provided. The safety valve includes an armature housing and having a mobile magnetic anchor in the housing and a valve seat. The mobile magnetic anchor includes a valve closing element which presses on the valve seat to close the gas path and an electromagnetic coil for activating the mobile magnetic anchor and the valve closing element to close the gas path when voltage is applied to the electromagnetic coil. Also, the electromagnetic coil is arranged as a separate component outside of the armature housing on a magnetic insert.

  • Publication number: 20060138372
Abstract: Known gas taps or magnet inserts (9) for electromagnetic safety valves (8) for gas taps comprise an armature (21) arranged in an armature housing (19), and a valve closing element (29). In order to close a gas path (6) provided in the gas tap (6), the armature (21) pushes the valve closing element (29) against a valve seat (35) provided in the gas tap. The armature (21) is associated with an electromagnetic coil (45) which actuates the armature (21) when a voltage is applied. In order to extend the shelf life of the magnet insert (9), the electromagnetic coil (45) is arranged outside the armature housing (19) of the magnet insert in the form of a separate component.
