    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a bicycle type wheel, including placing a first fibrous fabric section onto a first mold part of a mold along the periphery of a rim, such that the first fabric section forms a rim flange, placing spokes on the first mold part at angles relative to one another such that the radially outwardly spoke ends rest on the first fabric section, placing at least one core on the first fabric section, placing at least one fabric strip onto an inner surface of a mold ring and placing the mold ring into the first mold part, the fabric strip forming at least part of the rim well, enveloping an inflatable tube in a fabric section and placing the tube into the first mold part, repeating the procedure for a second quantity of spokes, inflating the tube, curing the resin-impregnated materials, removing from the mold an integral wheel.
