  • Publication number: 20100121809
Abstract: A computer implemented method and a system are disclosed for predicting the remaining numbers of error or the remaining time to the end of test mainly applicable in software projects. In at least one embodiment, the prediction can be improved by using the test progress of the current project and the gradient derived from at least one former project having similar characteristics as the current project e.g. release developments for determining parameters for a reliability growth model. The method and the system can be implemented by adapted software and hardware commercially available off the shelf.

  • Patent number: 6418972
Abstract: A reed in a loom is driven or oscillated back and forth to perform the beat-up motion by a direct reed drive that avoids using the main loom drive for operating the reed. The direct drive is an electromagnetic motor which uses as one of its components a reed support shaft (4) either as a rotor or as a stator. The reed support shaft acting as a rotor carries a reed slay which mounts the reed to the rotor. When the reed support shaft acts as a stator, the reed slay is mounted to separate rotor elements. In both instances the reed support shaft is part of a rotary or linear electromagnetic direct drive motor construction.

  • Patent number: 6006792
Abstract: A rotating leno forming device includes a leno disk (3) that has leno thread guides (5) therein and that itself forms a part of the rotor (2) of an electromagnetic drive arrangement. In order to achieve a very compact structure, the components are so arranged to achieve an axially directed magnetic flux between the rotor (2) and an electromagnetic stator (10) arranged in the housing (8). A rolling contact bearing rotatably supports the leno disk (3), with a first bearing race (6A) connected to the housing (8) and a second bearing race (6B) connected to the leno disk (3). Permanent magnets (7) are arranged on an annular ring surface (3A) of the leno disk (3) extending along a radial plane, so as to face the electromagnetic stator (10) across an air gap (11) that extends on a radial plane.

  • Patent number: 6006793
Abstract: A rotating leno forming device includes a leno disk (3) that has leno thread guides (5) therein and that itself forms a part of the rotor (2) of an electromagnetic drive arrangement. In order to achieve a very compact bearing support arrangement, shield the moving parts against external contamination, and provide for the detection of the rotational position of the leno disk, the leno device further includes a roller or ball bearing (6) of which the outer bearing race (6A) is rigidly connected to the leno disk (3), and of which the inner bearing race (6B) is rigidly connected to a centering holder (9) that is rigidly connected to a housing (8) of the leno device. Permanent magnets (7) are arranged around the circumference of the rotor (2) and cooperate with an electromagnetic stator (11) secured in the housing (8). A position sensor system (10) includes at least one signal emitter (13) mounted on the rotor (2) and a plurality of signal receivers or sensors (14) mounted on the housing (8).

  • Patent number: 5524678
Abstract: A leno selvage device for a loom has a leno rotor ring (7) which is directly driven by its own reversible electric motor, for example, through a power transmission such as a gear belt (6) running around a drive gear pulley (5). The controllable electric motor (20) is operated through a respective program for either oscillating the leno rotor back and forth, e.g. through 180.degree. or for revolving the leno rotor for a number of revolutions in one direction and then for the same number of revolutions in the opposite direction and so forth. The arrangement is such that the central rotational axis (5A) of the drive pulley (5) and the central rotational axis (7A) of the leno rotor ring (7) are positioned in different geometrical planes relative to a carrier arm (2), but in parallel to each other and to the weft insertion direction.

  • Patent number: 5518039
Abstract: A leno device for tying weft threads in the selvage of a fabric is constructed as an electric motor in which the stator is connected to a mounting bracket and the rotor forms the leno rotor disk or ring. A very compact structure results that can be mounted in the free space between the longitudinal struts and heddles of the first heald shafts in the loom.

  • Patent number: 5246102
Abstract: A closed belt conveyor arrangement for transporting material along a conveyor path having a support structure for supporting the conveyor belt and a plurality of roller elements. The support structure including an elongated support profile beam, supports attached directly to the support profile beam for supporting the profile beam, and a plurality of roller support frames attached independently of the supports to the support profile beam wherein the support profile beam is the only structural supporting element extending between the roller support frames.

  • Patent number: 4564241
Abstract: A device for extending flexible power supply lines for mining machines which are guided on a conveyor structure and moved back and forth along a longwall by means of a traction element which includes a coal strand and a return strand extending with an enclosed space comprising a housing secured to the conveyor and enclosing a load strand. A return and a cable channel is alongside the load strand channel, with the flexible supply lines being stored at the ends of the longwall towed along by a mining machine through the cable channel. The housing is secured to the conveyor structure and open at one side, and an idle roller is mounted in the housing in the cable channel. The supply lines are supported on the idle rollers. The mining machine is moved by a traction element and the supply lines bear against the traction element at the open side of the cable channel.

  • Patent number: 4555142
Abstract: A hydraulic-mechanically operating mine working machine includes a multi-part sword engaging a mine longwall conveyor from below. The machine is pulled by a traction rig disposed on the stowing side of the longwall conveyor, which is supplied from the drift with the liquid media needed for cutting and for control purposes via drag lines accommodated in a special duct on the stowing side. The connection between the drag lines arriving on the stowing side and the working machine at the adit end is established by way of a hose hookup block connected with the tractor hookup block, the tractor hookup block and the sword of the working machine engaging the longwall conveyor from below.
