  • Publication number: 20230406165
Abstract: A vehicle seat having a seat part, a backrest, a kinematics mechanism for transferring the vehicle seat from a use position to a not-in-use position, and back again, and a locking device to lock the kinematics mechanism in the use position. When the locking device is unlocked, the vehicle seat is transferred out of the use position into an access position and the kinematics mechanism is coupled to a drive device by a coupling device. The coupling device has an unlocking swing arm for at least indirectly unlocking the locking device. When in the use position of the vehicle seat, activation of the drive device first unlocks the swing arm to pivot, so that the locking device is unlocked, and it is only following the pivoting movement of the unlocking swing arm that the kinematics mechanism is driven by the drive device to transfer the vehicle seat into the not-in-use position.

  • Publication number: 20230382273
Abstract: A vehicle seat having a seat part, a backrest, a kinematics system for transferring the vehicle seat from a use position into an entry position and back, a drive apparatus for driving the kinematics system, and a coupling apparatus for coupling the drive apparatus to the kinematics system. The coupling apparatus has a pawl and a counter-element. The pawl and the counter-element are locked to one another in order to couple the drive apparatus to the kinematics system, wherein the pawl is released from the counter-element by an actuation of the coupling apparatus, resulting in the drive apparatus being decoupled from the kinematics system. The pawl is configured as a bracing pawl, and the pawl and the counter-element are locked to one another beyond a self-locking action.

  • Patent number: 10926673
Abstract: A vehicle seat (1), transferable from a usage position for transporting persons to a non-usage position, includes a seat cushion (3) having a seat cushion support (3a), a backrest (5), a vehicle connectable base (9) and a rocker (13), which is pivotably connected by a first joint (I) to the base or to a component (11) fixed to the base and is pivotably connected by a second joint (II) to the seat cushion support. A rear foot (21) is pivotably connected by a third joint (III) to the base or to a component fixed to the base. Pivoting motion of the rear foot about the third joint is lockable. The rear foot is pivotably connected by a fourth joint (IV) to the backrest. A fifth joint (V) connects the backrest to the seat cushion support. At least one of the joints (I, II, III, IV, V) is a fitting (25).

  • Publication number: 20130069405
Abstract: A vehicle seat has a base, a seat structure supporting a seat surface, and coupling elements allowing height adjusting and tilt adjusting of the seat surface relative to the base. Height is adjusted by a six-member seven-way linkage having six pivots, wherein angular orientation of two adjacent coupling elements relative to each other in a first linkage can be changed by a first fitting, and angular orientation of two adjacent coupling elements relative to each other is fixed at a second linkage by a second fitting. Angle adjustment is by the six-member seven-way linkage having six pivots, formed by the seven coupling elements. Angular orientation of two adjacent coupling elements relative to each other at the first linkage can be set via the first fitting, and angular orientation of two adjacent coupling elements relative to each other at the second linkage can be changed by the second fitting.
