  • Publication number: 20060279047
Abstract: The invention relates to a flange arrangement (2, 14, 25) of an engine cylinder head (22) and to a process for producing it. To simplify them as much as possible without losing the functionality of the flange arrangement (2, 14, 25), it is proposed that the flange arrangement (2, 14, 25) have at least two single-piece individual flanges (1a-d, 13a-c, 26), which bear against one another with in each case at least one peripheral region (8a-d, 15, 20, 28, 29) overlapping, in such a manner that in the overlapping area their securing bores (3, 16, 27) for attaching them to the cylinder head (22) are aligned.

  • Patent number: 6698193
Abstract: An exhaust gas cleaning system for an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle has a catalytic converter housing with an associated exhaust catalytic converter and an inlet opening for connecting an exhaust pipe. A throttle element is arranged in the catalytic converter housing, in such a manner that a first reaction chamber, which lies between the throttle element and the inlet opening, and a second reaction chamber, which lies between throttle element and exhaust catalytic converter, are formed by the throttle element.
