Patent number: 9073002Abstract: A method for separating off carbon dioxide in biogas plants includes an adsorption phase and a regeneration phase. Crude biogas that is treated in the adsorption phase is passed at ambient pressure through an adsorber suitable for adsorption of carbon dioxide, and in the regeneration phase the adsorber is regenerated with a purge gas at the temperature between 20 and 100° C., and also ambient pressure. The crude biogas is treated upstream of the carbon dioxide separation method, and is desulphurized and dried and minor components can be removed. For avoiding impurities in the biogas, at the start of the adsorption phase a purge process is carried out on the adsorber with treated crude biogas, wherein the purge process is controlled with respect to time via a number of valves and a sensor.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2011Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: Airbus DS GmbHInventors: Willigert Raatschen, Carsten Matthias, Joachim Lucas, Manuela Brodt

Publication number: 20130313126Abstract: An electrolysis method for electrolytic cells having an electrode-membrane-electrode assembly includes two porous electrode having a porous membrane located therebetween and filled with electrolyte or having an ion exchange membrane located therebetween, one or more liquids being led directly into the membrane of the electrode-membrane-electrode assembly. The one or more liquids are guided in a channel structure arranged in the membrane. An electrolytic cell includes porous electrode, between which a porous membrane is arranged. A liquid electrolyte is fixed in the pore of electrodes and membrane, a product gas chamber adjoining the cathode, a further product gas chamber adjoining the anode, and an arrangement for feeding a liquid to the electrode. A channel structure, in which distribution of the liquid is provided, is arranged in the membrane.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2011Publication date: November 28, 2013Applicant: ASTRIUM GMBHInventors: Willigert Raatschen, Joachim Lucas, Walter Jehle, Helmut Funke

Patent number: 7682415Abstract: A device for intermediate storage of condensation water includes a swirl body which causes an inflowing air-water mixture to rotate, and a venturi tube through which the air-water mixture leaves the device. A ring groove in which water accumulates because of the swirl is arranged downstream of the swirl body, and water accumulated in the ring groove is sucked into the venturi tube via one more suction pipes. An expansion zone has an expanded cross-section and a step shaped interior for generating increased surface adhesion. Separating metal sheets in the expansion zone brake the swirl, bind the accumulated gushing water by adhesion forces, and guide it by capillary forces to the interior surface of the expansion zone. Gushing water accumulated at the ends of the separating metal sheets is drained by one or more suction pipes, into the venturi tube.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2006Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: EADS Space Transportation GmbHInventors: Roland Mueller, Helmut Westermann, Ulf Wittkamp, Joachim Lucas, Klaus Bockstahler, Johannes Witt, Berengere Houdou

Publication number: 20070142198Abstract: A device for intermediate storage of condensation water includes a swirl body in the inlet area, which causes the inflowing air-water mixture to rotate, and a venturi tube through which the air-water mixture leaves the device. A ring groove in which water accumulates because of the swirl is arranged downstream of the swirl body, and water accumulated in the ring groove is sucked into the venturi tube via one more suction pipes. Because of a flow rate reduction and because of the swirl splashing water accumulates in an expansion zone which has an expanded cross-section, and which has air interior surface with a step-shaped construction for generating an increased surface adhesion force. Several separating metal sheets in the expansion zone brake the swirl and bind the accumulated gushing water by adhesion forces, and guide it by capillary forces to the interior surface of the expansion zone.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2006Publication date: June 21, 2007Applicant: EADS Space Transportation GmbHInventors: Roland Mueller, Helmut Westermann, Ulf Wittkamp, Joachim Lucas, Klaus Bockstahler, Johannes Witt, Berengere Houdou
