  • Patent number: 11795410
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of esters of octahydro-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-methanol (TCD-M) or -dimethanol (TCD-DM) and aliphatic C2-C18 monocarboxylic acids as lubricants in low temperature applications. In addition, the present invention relates to low-temperature lubricant compositions comprising said esters.

  • Publication number: 20220213012
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for continuous production of C4-C10 Diols from C3-C9 aldehydes comprising the process steps of: a) base-catalyzed addition of formaldehyde onto C3-C9 aldehydes to obtain the corresponding hydroxyaldehydes and b) subsequent hydrogenation of the hydroxyaldehydes to afford the corresponding diols, wherein the hydrogenation of the hydroxyaldehydes is performed continuously in the liquid phase over a Raney™ cobalt catalyst in the presence of hydrogen without workup of the reaction mixture from the process step a).

  • Patent number: 10472267
Abstract: A salt separator separates salts and/or solid materials from a pumpable aqueous fluid mixture under process conditions, which lie in the range of the critical point for the fluid mixture. The salt separator contains a reaction zone in a cavity for transforming the pumpable aqueous fluid mixture into a raw mixture, e.g. a methanation reaction, and a feed opening for the pumpable aqueous fluid mixture to the cavity. The feed opening is realized in a rising pipe that protrudes into the cavity. A first extraction opening is provided for the raw mixture freed of salts and/or solid materials. The first extraction opening is arranged in the upper region of the cavity and a second extraction opening is provided for a brine containing the salt and/or the solid materials. The second extraction opening is arranged in the lower region of the cavity and is located lower down than the feed opening.

  • Patent number: 4274499
Abstract: To control the completeness of the content which is not fixed in a package, the package is brought in an inclined position. In the case of incomplete packing, the content slides in the package whereby the distribution of weight changes, which change is measured. For safety, the package can then be inclined in opposite direction, whereupon the distribution of weight is measured again and the two values obtained are compared.
