  • Publication number: 20240060714
Abstract: A method for installing a camera on a wall of an interior compartment of a domestic appliance has the following steps: providing a mounting part and a camera, which are separate from one another; fastening the mounting part at an aperture in the wall; moving the camera towards the mounting part along a first installation direction, which is perpendicular to the plane of the aperture, to join the camera and the mounting part through the aperture and to achieve an interim installation state, wherein the camera and the mounting part are arranged on the opposite sides of the wall; displacing the camera relative to the mounting part in a second installation direction, parallel to the plane of the aperture, until an end position of the camera on the mounting part is reached.

  • Publication number: 20240060713
Abstract: A household appliance has a camera with a housing and a module with a first electrical connector. The module is separate from the housing and arranged in the housing. The housing is formed with a housing slot with a longitudinal axis, and a positioning device is arranged on an inner side of the housing slot. The module is arranged in the housing slot and is arranged so as to be at least axially fixed in the housing slot by a positioning device. There is also described a method for mounting a camera of a household appliance.

  • Publication number: 20240031689
Abstract: A household appliance, in particular a refrigerator, includes a storage compartment defined by an internal wall having a loading opening being closable by at least one door. A camera module is disposed on a ceiling of the internal wall. A particularly simple assembly and disassembly of camera modules in a household appliance is provided. A compact arrangement of camera modules in a household appliance is also provided. Images which are particularly well-suited for identifying items to be stored that are deposited in the household appliance, are to be recorded by the camera modules. A method for releasing an intermediate wall and a method for fastening a camera module to an internal wall are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230392858
Abstract: A household appliance has a sensor module and a control unit which are connected to one another via a cable harness containing a cable to supply power to the sensor module and to transmit data. The sensor module is connected to the control unit via an FDP-link III-compatible or GMSL-compatible connection which contains a serializer which is associated with the sensor module, a deserializer, and a cable harness which connects the serializer and the deserializer. A method is used to operate the household appliance, in which, sensor data generated by the sensor module are translated into FPD-link III-compatible serial data by the serializer of the FPD-link III connection. The serial data are transmitted via the cable harness to a deserializer and are back-translated therein, and the back-translated sensor data are transmitted to the control unit. The method is used in refrigeration appliances having cameras for recording images.

  • Patent number: 11789344
Abstract: A household appliance includes a camera with a housing and a first electrical plug connector in the housing. A reinforcement part separate from the camera is configured for direct connection to the housing through a cutout in a wall of the appliance such that the housing and the reinforcement part are disposed on opposite sides of the wall. The reinforcement part has a second electrical plug connector for connection to the first electrical plug connector. The second plug connector is a separate component provided on the reinforcement part by a snap-fit connection and/or in the mounted state the first electrical plug connector is snap-fitted to the second electrical plug connector by a snap-fit connection and/or the housing of the camera is connected in the mounted final state to the reinforcement part by a screw connection. A mounting method for the camera is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230194148
Abstract: A household refrigeration appliance, in particular a refrigerator or a French-door refrigerator, includes a plurality of image recording modules each having at least one camera sensor. A control unit is connected to the image recording modules. The control unit is configured to output a trigger signal to at least one of the image recording modules, and the at least one image recording module is configured to record at least one image by using at least one camera sensor upon receiving the trigger signal and to transmit corresponding image data to the control unit. A method for recording images of refrigerated goods stored in a household refrigeration appliance is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11624645
Abstract: A method serves for determining an object weight of an object that is put on a weighing zone, which has a plurality of weighing plates arranged in a grid pattern, of a household refrigerator. The respective weights are measured by the weighing plates and an image is taken of the weighing zone. From the image, respective percentages of support surfaces of the object stored on the weighing zone in relation to the individual weighing plates are determined. From the weights measured at the weighing plates and the proportions of the support surfaces the object weight of the respective object is determined, and advantageously the determined object weight of the object is stored in a database. A refrigerating device has a household refrigerator with a refrigerating compartment having a weighing zone with a plurality of weighing plates arranged in a grid pattern. The refrigerating device is intended for performing the method.

  • Publication number: 20210108958
Abstract: A method is used to determine an object weight of at least one object for refrigeration positioned on a weighing area with weighing plates of a household refrigeration appliance. The respective weights are measured in a time-resolved manner by means of the weighing plates and a sum of changes in weight determined within a predetermined period of time on the weighing plates is assigned to an object for refrigeration as its object weight. A refrigeration apparatus has a household refrigeration appliance with a refrigerating zone, which has a weighing area with a number of weighing plates. The refrigeration apparatus is configured to carry out the method.
