  • Publication number: 20210383043
Abstract: A method for processing vehicle test data of a vehicle, in which a cloud-based storage and computing device that is communicatively connected to the vehicle via a data network is provided with a multiplicity of modelling vehicle test data that are provided by a plurality of control devices and/or sensor devices of the vehicle. The cloud-based storage and computing device analyzes the received modelling vehicle test data and takes these modelling vehicle test data as a basis for generating test-case-specific edge analytics algorithms in an automated manner and transmits the algorithms to an edge analytics computing device inside the vehicle via the data network. The edge analytics computing device receives a multiplicity of vehicle test data from the control devices and/or the sensor devices during the performance of test or trial drives by the vehicle and evaluates the data by way of the edge analytics algorithms.

  • Patent number: 7113088
Abstract: An information kiosk including a display, such as, for example, a touch screen, and having access to situational information is integrated with a radio frequency identification (RFID) sensor. The RFID sensor reads the RFID tag of a user, accesses user information corresponding to the RFID tag, and customizes an interface to the user based on the user information and the situational information. The interface is then output to the user using the display of the information kiosk. The information kiosk may communicate with a private branch exchange (PBX) switch to permit use of a contact information center (CIC) or a voice portal. The user information may be stored as a user profile in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, accessed by the information kiosk. By combining the user information with event or location information stored in the information kiosk, the information kiosk presents customized information to each user, including maps, directions, and recommended sites or events.

  • Patent number: 7023344
Abstract: A tracking system includes at least one tracking tag, one or more tag trackers, a processor, a first memory, and a second memory. The processor causes the tag trackers to determine a location of the item to be tracked as item location information. The system maintains item location information and a database of associations between the at least one tracking tag and its respective item to be tracked. At least one tag tracker is associated with an item container and is configured to communicate tag information to the tracking system. A method for locating an item tagged with a tracking tag includes querying at least one tag tracker of an item container of a tracking system for a location of the tagged item and displaying the location of the tagged item on a display.

  • Patent number: 7014467
Abstract: An e-learning course may include a number of structural elements that are aggregated into one or more levels. Each higher level may refer to any instance of a lower level. The structural elements include a course, a sub-course, a learning unit, or a knowledge item. The structural elements may include metadata. The structural elements also may include relations between structural elements. The course and its structural elements do not enforce any sequence of structural elements that the learner may use to traverse the course. In addition, the structural elements may be reused and reassembled to form different courses. A content repository is configured to store course data and its structural elements. A content player is configured to access the stored course data and assemble the structural elements.

  • Publication number: 20030152900
Abstract: A learning system and method apply learning strategies to course structure. The course structure includes a plurality of structural elements and one or more relations that indicate dependences between the structural elements. A learning strategy is selected and applied to the course structure. A sequence of structural elements is determined based on the applied learning strategy. Course content associated with the structural elements is suggested to be presented to the learner based on the determined sequence of structural elements. The learner may select the learning strategy. The learning strategies include macro-strategies and micro-strategies, both of which may be applied to the same course structure.

Abstract: A learning system may include an interface, a content repository, and a content player. The interface is configured to receive a learning strategy that is selected by a learner. The content repository is configured to store course data. The content player is configured to access the stored course data and to apply a selected learning strategy to the course data to determine course data to be suggested for presentation to the learner. The content repository may be configured to store structural elements of a course that include a course, a sub-course, a learning unit, or a knowledge item. The course and its structural elements do not enforce any sequence of structural elements that the learner may use to traverse the course. The content player may apply the learning strategy to the course to generate a suggested sequence of structural elements to the user. The learning strategy may include a macro-strategy and a micro-strategy.

  • Publication number: 20030154176
Abstract: A course authoring system may include an author station to create a course, a content management system to store content and structure associated with the course, a learning management system to determine learning content to present to the learner based on a learning strategy applied to the content and the structure, and a communications link to transfer the course from the author station to the content management system. The author station may include an author tool configured to add structural elements to the course. The structural elements may include one or more of a course, a sub-course, a learning unit, or a knowledge item. The author tool is configured to associate the content with the structural elements. The course and its structural elements do not enforce a sequence of the content associated with the structural elements that a learner should use to traverse the course.
