  • Patent number: 5669375
Abstract: A breathing mask with a mask body designed as a full mask with a field of vision and with a filter with a filter connection 13, wherein the filter can be arranged in the middle 3 of the mask body or to the side of it in the cheek area, is to be improved such that the use properties with the filter attached are improved in terms of the position of the center of gravity, a larger field of vision is present, and there is good adaptability to optical devices. To accomplish this task, the filter is designed as a cassette filter extending in the shape of a U from the middle of the mask body to the cheek area, and the field of vision includes a transparent, elastic elastomer section, into which individual, segment-like eye-protective lenses made of a solid material are inserted.

  • Patent number: 5353789
Abstract: A half mask (1) with a connection opening (13) for a filter (12), with a flexible half mask body (2) with a sealing edge (3) and with a solid filter holder (10) surrounding the half mask body. A strap (16) is connected to the filter holder. Wear comfort and tightness of fit are provided by the half mask body (2) having a supporting structure (17, 19, 21), which extends over at least a certain section and which is brought into engagement with the front sides (18, 20, 22) of the filter holder (10) pointing toward the sealing edge (3) by the strap (16), when the half mask (1) has been put on, in such a manner that the sealing edge (3) is supported.

  • Patent number: 5154168
Abstract: A respirator mask with connection openings for filters and a mask body, which is designed as a full mask or as a half mask, is improved such that subsequent conversion into one respirator mask configuration or another will be simplified and possible without the use of separate closing parts. To achieve this, a connecting adapter (2) with connecting ports (4, 10) can be fastened in at least two preferred positions on the full mask or half mask (1). A predetermined number of connection openings 8, 9 and connecting ports (4, 10) overlap in each preferred position. Various numbers of filters 3 can be connected to the overlapping areas, and the non-overlapping connection openings 8 are closed with sealing means 7 provided on the connecting adapter 2.

  • Patent number: 5148803
Abstract: A respirator mask with a respirator filter and bellows sealing off the interior space of the mask against the surrounding atmosphere, which bellows surround the respirator filter at its end facing the interior space of the mask in the form of a rigid cuff, is to be improved such that replacement of the respirator filter will be simplified. To accomplish this task, the cuff (7) is continued in an elastic sleeve (8) nearly completely surrounding the respirator filter (2), and, with the sleeve (8) folded back, the respirator filter (2) can be inserted into or can be removed from the cuff (7).

  • Patent number: 4562837
Abstract: An air escape filter apparatus for emergency use by a person comprises a filter which is contained within a filter housing which is accommodated within a half mask portion of a breathing mask which is adapted to be engaged over the nose and mouth of a person. The half mask portion includes a sleeve portion having a guide ring which engages over the filter housing and is shiftable along the filter housing while remaining in holding engagement therewith. The filter housing is of a size so that it is retainable within the half mask portion in a standby condition at which time it is substantially coextensive in length with the half mask portion so that the two elements are accommodated within a very small space. The filter is extensible at the end of the sleeve portion to free the interior of the half mask for engagement over the wearer's face in a ready condition.
