  • Publication number: 20240139894
Abstract: A safety gate monitoring module is configured to monitor a state of a safety gate. A base device includes an actuator receptacle configured to receive an actuator and generates the safety gate signal in response to the actuator being inserted into the actuator receptacle. The base device includes a first interface, an axis, and a first end face arranged transversely to the axis. A mounting bracket includes a second interface configured to be coupled to the first interface of the base device in a first position, a second position rotated clockwise by 90° with respect to the first position, and a third position rotated clockwise by 90° with respect to the second position. The first and second interfaces include a mechanical blocking device that prevents coupling of the first and second interfaces in a fourth position rotated clockwise by 90° with respect to the third position.

  • Patent number: 6291681
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for the production of 2-oxo-1,3-dibenzyl-cis-4,5-imidazolidinedicarboxylic acid and of 2-oxo-1,3-dibenzyl-cis-4,5-imidazolidinedicarboxylic acid anhydride, starting from meso-2,3-bis(benzylamino)succinic acid dialkali metal salt. The process involves reacting meso-2,3-bis(benzylamino)succinic acid dialkali metal salt with phenyl chloroformate in a monophasic solvent system consisting of an about 2:1 to 1:1 mixture of a water-miscible ether and an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide solution, at a temperature not exceeding about 40° C.

  • Patent number: 5744634
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of methyl or ethyl 2-keto-L-gulonate by esterifying 2-keto-L-gulonic acid with methanol or ethanol continuously in the presence of an acidic ion exchanger in the temperature range between room temperature and about 80.degree. C. and with average residence times between about 10 and about 120 minutes and with superficial velocities of about 0.5 m/h to about 7.5 m/h. The esterification is advantageously carried out under slight over-pressure. The thus-manufactured esters are important intermediates for the synthesis of vitamin C and the respective esterification product can be converted directly into vitamin C by lactonization.

  • Patent number: 5702579
Abstract: A process for the preparation of ascorbic acid starting from an ascorbate is characterized in that an ascorbate, e.g. sodium ascorbate, dissolved in water is decomposed under the influence of an electric field by means of ion-selective membranes into ascorbate ions and cations and the latter are separated spatially from one another and then, as a result of simultaneous generation of protons and hydroxide ions, the ascorbic acid is prepared from the liberated ascorbate ions and protons and, spatially separated therefrom, the corresponding hydroxide, e.g. sodium hydroxide, is also prepared from the cations and hydroxide ions.
