  • Patent number: 10159776
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dialysis machine, in particular a peritoneal dialysis machine, wherein a dialysis treatment, in particular a peritoneal dialysis treatment, can be carried out by means of the dialysis machine in accordance with predefined and/or inputtable treatment parameters and wherein the dialysis machine has at least one setting means by means of which at least one treatment parameter can be set dynamically and/or during the treatment operation of the dialysis machine. The present invention furthermore relates to a method of operating a dialysis machine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 27, 2012
Date of Patent: December 25, 2018
Assignee: PRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE DEUTSCHLAND GMBH
Inventors: Erik Griessmann, Frank Hedmann, Joachim Wich-Heiter
  • Patent number: 9694126
Abstract: A method is provided for adjusting a continuous dialysate volume flow in a dialysis machine with at least two discontinuous pumps and a controller for generating a desired volume flow of the dialysate. The energy for driving the pumps is set to be constant with a value determined corresponding to the pump-time volume of the respective pump stroke and the delivered volume. A dialysis machine for carrying out the aforementioned method is also provided.

Date of Patent: July 4, 2017
Assignee: FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE DEUTSCHLAND GMBH
Inventors: Frank Hedmann, Erik Griessmann, Joachim Wich-Heiter, Sven Sebesta
  • Patent number: 9028439
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of a treatment machine for the treatment of a medical liquid comprising a coupling surface with actuators, with a cassette comprising a hard part with liquid-conducting passages which are covered by a flexible film being able to be coupled to the coupling surface of the treatment machine so that the actuators can control the liquid flow in the liquid-conducting passages by pressing the flexible film down into the cassette. In this connection, a switch is made after the setting up of the treatment machine and before the start of treatment into a stand-by mode in which the actuators are alternately moved to relieve the flexible film. It is possible for the first time by the stand-by mode before the start of treatment in accordance with the invention to completely uncouple the time-consuming setting up of the treatment machine from the treatment itself in a time aspect.

  • Publication number: 20120310148
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for adjusting a continuous dialysate volume flow in a dialysis machine with at least two discontinuous pumps and a controller for generating a desired volume flow of the dialysate. In accordance with the invention, for generating a rather continuous, highly constant dialysate volume flow the energy for driving the pumps is set to be constant with a value determined corresponding to the pump-time volume of the respective pump and the delivered volume. The invention also relates to a dialysis machine for carrying out the aforementioned method.
