  • Publication number: 20240107944
Abstract: An agricultural harvesting machine having a cutting unit for cutting harvested material and a driver assistance system is disclosed. The driver assistance system includes a memory in which control strategies for the operation of the cutting unit are stored and a computing device for controlling a cutting angle of the cutting unit in accordance with the control strategies. The computing device is configured to link first and second control strategy to one another via a weighting variable, with the weighting variable being adjustable by a driver. The driver assistance system uses at least one of the control strategies and sensed forefield information to automatically determine the cutting angle of the cutting unit and to automatically control the cutting unit based on the determined cutting angle.

  • Publication number: 20240065152
Abstract: A method and system for the optimized determination of machine parameters of an agricultural production machine is disclosed. The agricultural production machine has a driver assistance system and a sensor assembly and performs an agricultural task in a local context. A determination routine the driver assistance system uses the strategy specifications as input parameters of the instruction for use to determine the optimized machine parameters optimized with respect to the strategy specifications as output parameters of the instruction for use, wherein the strategy is parameterized with initial strategy parameters at the beginning of the execution of the agricultural task. The driver assistance system uses strategy parameters as the initial strategy parameters that have already been optimized by at least one agricultural production machine in a similar local context.

  • Publication number: 20040223316
Abstract: An illuminable component includes a basic support, a voltage transducer, a luminous foil, a transparent intermediate part, and a non-illuminable part. The basic support has an opening, and the voltage transducer is disposed in the opening of the basic support. The luminous foil is connected to the voltage transducer and is disposed between the basic support and the transparent intermediate part. Disposed between the luminous foil and the non-illuminable part, the transparent intermediate part has an elevation, which extends through the non-illuminable part from one side of the non-illuminable part to the other side and projects over to the other side. The portion of the elevation projecting over the non-illuminable part forms a symbol. The voltage transducer is fastened to one of the other elements of the illuminable component.

  • Patent number: 4326447
Abstract: System for positioning and maintaining position stabilization of a mass such as a barrelled gun supported on a base such as a tracked vehicle. The system employs oppositely rotating disks with fluid actuated clutches for moving the gun barrel mass in a single degree of freedom as determined by a deviation from a predetermined setting.

  • Patent number: 4144826
Abstract: The sewing machine includes respective setting members for adjusting the overstitch width and the stitch length, with the setting members being adjusted by an actuating mechanism responsive to control signals of a program control system, the control signals corresponding to the stitches to be made. The power for driving the actuating mechanism is derived from the continuously operating main shaft of the sewing machine, through a clutch or clutches whose moment to be transmitted is controllable, such as electromagnetic clutches. In one embodiment of the invention, a single electromagnetic clutch is provided for each setting member and includes a first clutch disk connected to the respective setting member to rotate therewith and a second clutch disk secured to a shaft continuously rotated by the main shaft of the machine. A spiral spring is provided to act to rotate the respective setting member in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation thereof by the associated clutch.

  • Patent number: 4063815
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and method for optical tracking and aiming from a movable system, such as a vehicle. The apparatus may comprise a viewing device having a sighting mark moveable responsive to the position of an aiming mechanism control. The sighting mark may be superimposed on a field of vision observable in the viewing device, by stroboscopic illumination.
